Proloc™ Camber Bar Attachment
Black

From the makers of Proloc™ Collars, this lockdown set of steel camber bar attachments is compatible with any standard Olympic barbell, and comes with a pair of Proloc™Strongman Collars.

Performing squats using the 16” camber attachments can take some pressure off the shoulders and extend a workout, but it also creates a slight swing that forces your body to stabilize the weight and improve your overall form. A smaller 14” option is also available and is better suited to bench press use. Both sizes of the cambered attachment leave a loadable sleeve length of 12”.

Great option to take to local commercial gym
I love my 16" cambered bar attachment. It's not the same feeling as a regular cambered bar, in some ways, it's harder which I like. I don't have a lifting gym near by (Glendale/Burbank) area of LA so I don't have access to any specialty bars. They fit perfectly in my gym bag and so they go with me to my near by commercial gym. They are obviously a great addition to my max effort rotation. I use them for Squats, Box Squats, Goodmornings, and Overhead Press either for max effort or 5x5. My only complaint are the clips. I've had to tighten them to the point where they feel like they might strip out and the weights still slip a little after each set (like around an 1/8th of an inch). I wish the clips were stronger. I don't like having to be conscious of the clips with 4 plates. Otherwise I absolutely love them.

Not a Camber Bar Replacement
So I'll start this off with saying this product is very well constructed. Good material and welding. I'm only giving it three stars so people will see this review and because quite frankly, this is not a good product to replace a camber bar. The biggest issue I have is that the weight swings because it is in the collar of the barbell and depending on the bearings, it'll be tight or loose. Plus the camber attachments are wider than most camber bars I have to hold on to the barbell itself, rather than the camber attachments. I will most likely sell these (since I can't return) and buy a real camber bar. Again, very well constructed, just not a Camber Bar Replacement.

Solid Camber Option
I purchased the 16" version of this attachment, primarily for squats and bench press. So far it has not disappointed. No problem setting the attachment up on my Olympic bar, either with bumper or tradition cast iron weights. The collars are very easy to use and secure. The collars also work on my jammer arms, axle bar and other bars that are designed for Olympic plates but have slightly different diameters than Olympic bar sleeves. The first thing I noticed about this attachment is the created instability. I bought it primarily for this purpose and it works better than I thought. Traditional camber bars are welded 1 piece and only move around a little. Because these are designed to secure to an Olympic bar sleeve there is a fair bit of movement. It has a similar feel to when I hang a weight from a chain or band from the Olympic sleeve. So it's quite a different feel than a traditional camber bar. I am 5'10 with a normal wing span and am able to do flat bench presses with these without the 45lb plates hitting the ground. This was a good purchase for me. It works well in conjunction with the Rogue monolift arms.

Very good. Needs refinement.
Feels great squatting with this attachment. I also use it for OHP in my basement. A very useful addition to my gear. Minor criticisms: the tubing is too wide. It hangs at an angle when loaded with plates. Could be at least a couple millimeters narrower. Second point is that the bolts provided to secure it to the barbell have rough edges that will mark up your barbell. I've filed mine down, but I'm actually using the suggestion made by another user. I place a 5lb (my smallest) on the outside of the attachment and use my regular collars to keep it in place.

Perfect for OHP
I bought the small set a few weeks ago for the purposes of doing OHP in a basement with low ceilings. As others have stated, these are perfect for that task. They do tend to swing a bit, but I find this is helpful in that you really have to focus on controlling the barbell throughout the press, making sure you move in a straight line. You know you've done a rep perfectly when the weights don't swing. I've also used them for benching and squats and thought they worked fine for both of those movements, too. An all-around useful tool to add to your arsenal. If I had any negatives, I would say the included proloc collars are kind of useless. They are cumbersome and don't lock very well. I sold mine. Personally, I think a pair of Lockjaw collars for specialty bars, I already owned, work a lot better with these. Just a matter of personal preference.

Adds variety
I bought the small size ones mainly to use for some variety on barbell pressing exercises. I've only used them once so far on flat bench, but I really like them can't wait to try difference variations (incline, OH, squats, etc). One thing that was unexpected is how much they sway. At first, I was disappointed, but I've changed my mind. It adds a 'chaotic environment' element which has a lot of benefits. It really forces you to control the weight and find a groove. Highly recommended if you're looking for variety and want to challenge your stabilizers. As others have mentioned, another great benefit is allowing home gym owners to do OH presses without worrying about clearance.

New squatting frontier!
Wow am I impressed. These keep the weight lower so it basically makes you more stable, harder to tip! You can push near your Max and your form holds up better. Unlike a dedicated camber bar (no rotating sleeves) it won't roll down your back if the weights swing. It'll teach you to unrack with some gracevor waste energy fighting the swinging weights! Hit new 1rm 1st time out and can squat below parallel without losing balance! Side note: I don't use adjustment stars as they would mar the bar. Instead I use .25lb rubber micro plates on each side and lock it in with the rogue aluminum collars!
