I did a lot of research on the types of mats to put down in my home gym (work in progress, haha). I can honestly say that the rolls, though heavy, are the best way to go. A single 25-ft. roll was able to adequately cover my workout space once cut in half, covering an 8×12.5 space. It's laying on top of an LVP floor, and is not adhered in any way. The long sections and the equipment on top have bren adequate to keep the flooring from moving too much. Be aware, the end cuts are probably not straight/square, and you'll likely lose about 1-inch of length to trim the ends straight. Unfortunately, my roll seems to have a manufacturing defect, where a sharp/jagged rock was embedded into the roll during production, and the sharp edges stick out above the rest of the flooring. It's annoying when doing push-ups or other ground work as it digs into my skin and clothes. I have to be careful to avoid that part of the mat when working out. The alternative would be to flip the strip of flooring upside down, but then it would be scraping against the house flooring underneath, and I don't want to damage the LVP underneath. The whole reason I bought rubber flooring in the first place was to protect the floors in my house. Other than the defect and the crooked end cuts, this is a good product. Just be sure to check both sides of your roll, in case you wind up with a defect like mine.

Really like the quality of material. Only thing I'm not excited about, and the reason for the 4 star vs 5 star, is the rolls don't appear to be cut straight (some minor gaps in some places where the mats meet together). Overall, I recommend this product.

Bought it, came within a week. Got a great workout end over ending the 275lb rubber rolls to my basement walkout! Installl was smooth, wish I had a 2nd person to help. Only con is that the black tracks every piece of dust from your feet so plan to have some gym shoes that live there. Easy to clean though. check it out!

High quality! Consistent density and thickness! Straight edges! No smell! I’m SO GLAD I went with this product!

We switched out some cheap foam tiles with this in our home gym and it’s made a huge difference.

My package came in crazy good packaging!!! Zero damage and very little rubber smell. I had previously ordered from another company and the rubber mats were destroyed upon delivery. I bought this flooring because I didn’t want to buy horse stall mats. I bought 7 rolls and it came perfectly packaged. My gym area is a little under 700 sqft. They are a little heavy to carry and you’ll need a dolly to make your life easier. It is easy to cut and install. I used double sided tape and made sure I let the mats rest in the basement before installing. I also installed Dricore subfloor so this was going to be on top of that. The mats easily rolled out after opening the packaging. They can be very difficult to move as they are very long pieces and a pain to lift to add the tape. Make sure you have help. The mats don’t have the strong smell as you can experience with horse stall mats or any rubber flooring. I chose 8mm gray hound and it has quite a lot of specks. Very happy with how it looks. Sometimes as the ends are not totally perfect, you will be able to see some seams.
