ROGUE AM-2 ADJUSTABLE MONOLIFT 2.0 - MONSTER

Compatible with any Monster Series power rack or rig,* the AM-2 Rogue Adjustable Monolift gives athletes a way to comfortably unrack and rerack heavy weight without having to worry about walking the bar out during squats or avoiding J-cups while benching. With Version 2.0, we’ve upgraded the strength of the attachment and re-engineered the center of mass around the handle, removing unnecessary weight and enabling easier, one-hand adjustments. A new stainless steel key can also lock the Monolift’s jaws in place, further simplifying adjustments and allowing the hooks to be utilized as traditional J-cups.

A cost-effective alternative to expensive, full-scale monolift units, the AM-2 Adjustable Monolift mounts to your rack’s uprights via a pair of 1/4” steel brackets (MG Black finish) and 1” detent pins. The 1.25" wide jaw sections feature a Texture Red finish and are placed in recessed hook plastic, with an extended 8” of vertical space for re-racking (2” more than the previous model). A set of 3/8” thick steel counterweights (Texture Black finish) provide the necessary torque so that—when you lift the bar off the Monolift—the hooks will swing back approximately 5.5” toward the rack and stay there. This clears up enough extra space to go straight into your workout, and also enables safe re-racking, as the slanted angle of the unloaded hooks makes it easy to guide the bar in, activating the counterweights and moving the Monolift back into its original position.

Height adjustments can be made in increments as small as 2”, and with Rogue’s unique design—featuring a “backstop” bolt above each primary hook bolt—the Monolift cannot move further away from the rack while the user is setting up. This feature is not found on most comparable attachments on the market.

*Please Note: While the AM-2 can be safe for solo use, it’s always recommended to have spotters available for heavier lifts. Rogue also highly recommends mounting the Monolift to a rack or rig that’s securely fastened to the floor and/or wall.

KEY FEATURES OF THE ROGUE ADJUSTABLE MONOLIFT 2.0

A BETTER WAY TO UNRACK & RE-RACK HEAVY WEIGHT
1

A BETTER WAY TO UNRACK & RE-RACK HEAVY WEIGHT

The rack-mounted Adjustable Monolift 2.0 is compatible with any Rogue Monster Series rack or rig, giving athletes a new means of performing heavy-weight squats and other lifts without having to walk the bar out or worry about dodging J-cups. The system, which has been tested at a capacity of 1,000+ LBS, includes (2) steel mounting brackets in MG Black (with laser-cut Rogue branding), (2) 1.25" wide plastic-lined J-Hooks in Texture Red, (2) steel counterweights in Texture Black, (2) 1” detent pins, and a set of 3/8” stopper bolts. The hooks are designed to swing back 5.5” when the weight is removed, clearing up space to lift. The athlete can then guide the bar back into the jaws, activating the counterweights and returning the Monolift to its beginning position.

EASIER ADJUSTMENTS
2

EASIER ADJUSTMENTS

Height changes can be made in as little as 2” increments (using the included detent pins), and Version 2.0 of the Rogue Monolift has made it much easier to make these adjustments. Each side of the Monolift now weighs just 24.5 LBS (down from 32 LBS), and a grip-friendly design on the J-Hook opening allows for more comfortable maneuverability. The jaws also now sit about 10” below the rack attachment point (several inches closer than Version 1.0), creating more options for positioning the Monolift.

QUALITY ROGUE CONSTRUCTION - MADE IN THE USA
3

QUALITY ROGUE CONSTRUCTION - MADE IN THE USA

Each AM-2 unit is manufactured in the USA using quality 0.25” and 0.375” steel (with laser-cut Rogue branding in the brackets) and UHMW plastic. The resting J-Hook is protected by 8 vertical inches of plastic, providing the user ample space for reracking compared to the original model, which offers about 6” of vertical plastic. Plastic linings in the J-Hook opening and along the entire inside channel—combined with button heads along the inside face of both Monolift segments—help protect the user from sharp edges and bolt threads while also preventing any damage to your rack’s uprights during adjustments.

SPACE-EFFICIENCY
4

SPACE-EFFICIENCY

In resting position, the Monolift 2.0 extends just 16.75” from the mounting face of the rack to the end of the counterweight. This is a reduction of about 6” compared to the previous model, creating substantial, additional clearance for small training spaces. The swing distance--meaning the distance the hook moves out of the way once the bar has been unracked--has also been improved from about 5” to 5.5”. This extra half inch can be significant in helping to prevent any interference between the Monolift and the user during their lifts.

STAINLESS STEEL LOCKING KEY
5

STAINLESS STEEL LOCKING KEY

A stainless steel locking key with a snake knotted tether is also included with the AM-2. This allows the user to lock the J-Hook in place for a more convenient adjustment or for the purposes of using the Monolift as a traditional J-Cup. The locking key is simply inserted through the rectangular opening in the bracket and J-Hook while the J-Hook is in the resting position. There is a rectangular opening towards the back of the bracket designed to hold the key when it is not in use. The key’s connected tether should also ensure it won’t be misplaced.

I like it.
Works as advertised and allows you to get tighter at setup vs a walkout squat. If you over-tighten the bolts it won’t swing freely, so adjust accordingly.

Perfect monolift for the small home gym
Bought this a couple months ago and I have been loving using these on my heavier lift days. The finish is beautiful and compliments my red rack. The only issue I have is the provided screws are full thread instead of something like a shoulder bolt. This is a small detail that does not affect performance, so take the comment as you will. This will fit on a REP PR-5000, adding this to my review because I wasn't able to find someone confirm that it would fit when I was doing my initial research.

Rogue at its best.
The monos are a perfect combination with the Kabuki Kadillac Bar! With these monos, it's a breeze racking and re-racking this specialty bar. No more dinging up the bar and the rack. Monos fit and finish are top notch.

Solid piece of equipment
I bought the 1” version after selling my 5/8” version and rack. It works great for bench press. I don’t use it for squats. The bolts they used for the pivot and stop are not the correct type. I replaced them with shoulder bolts. Also, the keys will not go into the locking mode due to too tight of an opening.

Not as good as the Originals
I really wanted to like these. The new angle of the jaws is way off. On the original mono's the bar will just drop in place when re racking, with these you still have to kind of roll the bar back into the bottom of the jaws, it really feels super sketchy on heavy lifts. You are always double checking to see if you got it racked. Sold mine locally to buy the old style instead before they discontinue them. It's too bad, they look nicer than the originals and I like that they are easier to adjust but I will take ugly and functional any day.

Great product
Easy enough to move around without trouble. Jcups are about obsolete now. I use them for bench, shoulder presses and squats. Everything else uses spotter arms.
