Rogue Monster Westside Bench

Made in the USA from 3x3" 11-Gauge Steel, the Monster Westside Bench stands among the most versatile, heavy-duty, uncompromising bench racks ever built. Like our original Westside Bench, it’s inspired by the groundbreaking designs of Louie Simmons and Westside Barbell. By incorporating new features from our Monster Series 2.0 power racks, however, we’ve created an entirely new animal—fully equipped and precision manufactured for the high-performance athlete.

The uprights on this model feature 2” on-center numbered holes (front and back) for easy and quick height adjustments, as well as laser-cut keyholes along the sides for attachments. Bolt-on, diamond-tread spotter decks give spotters extra leverage and traction in case of a missed lift, and laser-cut Rogue logo panels (as seen in our series 2.0 Monster Racks) serve as the front-to-back crossmembers. The logo panels sport a red powder coat finish, while the rest of the unit is finished in our Satin Black powder coat.

Customers can choose from several different pad options with the Monster Westside Bench, at varying price points. A double-reinforced 7-gauge steel spine ensures maximum support and reduced pad flex no matter which pad you choose, and all options can be adjusted for height (2” increments) and/or moved forward or back for optimal comfort.

  • Thompson Fat Pad: 50” L x 14.5” W x 4.5” H - Made in the USA. Black w/ vinyl “grabber” cover. Over-sized design promotes scapular movement, eliminates shoulder hangover, and optimizes back and upper body positioning.
  • Premium Textured Foam Pad: 47” L x 12” W x 2.25” H - Made in the USA from self-skinning, highly engineered polyurethane foam for added texture and superior grip. Black w/ debossed Rogue branding. Includes a black substrate on the underside for a clean finished look that won’t deteriorate over time. 9 LBS heavier than standard pad.

All orders come standard with Monster Sandwich J-Cups, Monster Strap Safeties, Spotter Decks and plastic-coated Monster pins for band work.

Please Note: By selecting the Base version of the Westside Bench, customers can substitute the bench's Monster accessories for standard J-cups, Pin/Pipe Safeties, and standard Band Pegs.

Is it worth it?
I’ve had this bench for over two years, it’s held up great. Honestly if you are benching anywhere you should always have safeties as even a spotter cannot fully protect you from a missed rep. That being said, I used to slide my bench into the rack and adjust the J-Cups & safeties each time. However, it was more than a bit frustrating that I could not get the exact same setup each time despite marking everything. Now that Rogue has thankfully engineered the Bench Prop crossmember attachment, it solves that predicament. Still, I am glad I have this bench as it allows me to move from squats to bench quickly as there is nothing to adjust which if you are pressed for time is invaluable. Money rich, time poor as the saying goes. It is extremely stable and rock solid. It honestly feels better then any bench I have ever used. It definitely feels better then benching inside the power rack. I would recommend it if a lifter has the space & resources and also appreciates having a dedicated bench rack. I have never regretted owning this, other than that now all other benches feel inferior. In my opinion it is definitely worth it and I am glad I purchased it. As for weight storage on the bench, those are supposed to be for band work. As bands & chains are more beneficial to geared lifting (it simulates the elastic energy stored in the tight bench shirts) I saw no need to install them for myself as I bench raw. Hope this helps.

Build quality is amazing, design could use work
I bought this 7 months ago, but there’s a huge design flaw, when you attach weights on the side of this bench, it’ll hit the weight on the bar when you bring it down to do a bench. Really gets in the way of the exercise. Everything else about the bench is amazing tho, love the way it looks, just wish it was more functional.

This thing is a beast!
Super heavy duty - honestly, probably overkill for my home gym lol - but it's still awesome! Thompson Fat Pad as always is the ONLY way to bench! The only 2 things that would be cool to see improved... A) About 4 more inches of height so a rogue monolift fits better... There just isn't quite enough height... B) A locking j-cup... When using a Duffalo Bar, the j cups slide side to side a bit too much for my liking.
