Frustrated by the limitations of standard, two-handed massage sticks, Rogue employee Andrew Miller devised the MRT (Myofascial Rig Tool) as a dynamic roller with a rack-mounted swivel joint. It can be secured to either the 2” or 3” depth of a Monster Lite / Infinity upright (5/8” holes) using the included knurled knob. The knob ensures a secure hold and allows for quick height adjustments between athletes. The threaded rod that goes through the upright includes two plastic washers to further ensure that no damage is done to the powder coat of the rack while tightening.
The MRT’s rack mount capability allows users to leverage their body weight and keep targeted, hard-to-reach muscles relaxed during training, with only one hand needed to provide the downward force on the roller. The universal swivel joint ensures that the tool moves freely, and also allows the roller to hang conveniently down alongside the upright when not in use.
The 1.26” diameter, 28.5” long roller features a Rogue-embossed handle and (6) TPE overmolded plastic segments with optimized grooves for myofascial release. The lightweight design (the MRT weighs 3.86 LBS in total) enables these segments to spin freely over the shaft to create a comfortable massaging grip that also promotes improved circulation. The rounded off point at the end of the MRT can also be used for more precision massaging. When not attached to a rack/rig, the complete roller can be used independently with both hands just like a standard massage stick.
