Key Features of the Rogue Rubber Atlas Stones

  • 1A Strongman Tool with All-Sport Applications

Atlas Stones have always been associated with Strongman competitions, but in recent years, they’ve been adopted by a wide range of athletes—from weightlifters and powerlifters to football players, wrestlers, MMA fighters, and more—as a unique, full-body training tool. Properly lifting, holding, and loading Atlas Stones not only strengthens the back, glutes, and abs (with minimal spinal compression), but also promotes the extension of the hips, knees and ankles, resulting in greater explosiveness. Just be sure to select a starting weight increment suited to your own size and level of experience.

  • 2Quality Rogue Construction

Each stone has a cast-iron core with an overmolded, black rubber exterior. Slightly recessed edges reduce the chance of rollaway and provide a bit of added texture, as do the embossed Rogue logos, which are centered around an embossed weight indication on one side. The surface finish on our Rubber Atlas Stones is a bit slippery out of the box, and while it will become more grip-friendly over time, the general slickness helps to create a more accurate facsimile of a traditional stone. Since it cannot be lifted purely by friction, athletes will need to grab the stone from underneath using their forearms in the “bear hug” style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 75 lbs of pure gravity! I absolutely love this thing!! I own slam balls up to 90 lbs but having a surface that has no give, like this atlas ball, makes lifting a completely different movement! I own the 75lb only as it's the only one available right now. Great weight to learn proper techniques before lifting too much. Make no mistake it's a HEAVY 75 lbs and watch those precious toes! The setup in the picture is the monster lite rack, sandwich j cups which actually rack the stubby axle enough, calibrated 35lb Rogue weights to keep the bar steady and simply lift over the bar for reps. Since it's rubberized my bar is safe from scratches. (Don't use a bar with Knurling to protect the rubber layer) It's the biggest headrush I get from lifting anything. The functional strength gains are enormous! I'll buy more but it's great to start light and learn how to lift. This takes a lot more skill to lift than a slam ball. Maybe black Friday will have more with free shipping? One can wish!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just perfection I normally hate stones because they destroy my forearms, and I have tattoos in those exact locations. These stones have all the functionality of a traditional stone stone but none of the downsides.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This thing is very cool. Received 100# stone as a gift, now I want the 150 and 200. Agree with other reviewers, would readily buy heavier stones as well. Also agree w other reviewers, doesn't bust up your floor and holds its form, feels awesome. Not to mention the training benefits of lifting atlas stones. Absolutely stoked. Very cool idea Rogue, bravo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! Got the 150# stone. This thing is absolutely fantastic. Doesn't bust up your floor like a concrete atlas stone, but keeps rigid form, unlike a DBall. Seems really well built and made to last. Win all around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from bad a** Got the 150 and love it so much I'll get the 100 and 200 too. Was surprised in a good way how it feels so good to pick up. Like the other reviewer mentioned, the problem is Rogue doesn't have heavier stones. I want a 225 and a 250 also. 25lb increments please!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stone Purchased the 200lb stone as soon as it became available. Very impressed with it's solid construction, durability, and aesthetics. Thoroughly satisfied. My main complaint is that they didn't put out heavier options, I would readily buy both a 20" 225 lb and 250 lb stone. Please make more.
