Rogue TB-1 Trap Bar 2.0

Version 2.0 of the Rogue TB-1 Trap Bar features the same general design and dimensions of the original, but with an updated, precision sleeve construction that reduces the starting weight of the bar by more than 25 percent. This makes the TB-1 easier to maneuver without limiting its effectiveness. Simply put, if you want to lift massive weight, this tool still belongs in your arsenal.

The Trap Bar’s hexagonal design and knurled, neutral grip handles make it optimized for performing deadlifts that put less stress on the lumbar spine—since the load is centered and not off axis like a traditional deadlift. This same benefit makes the TB-1 2.0 a useful specialty bar for beginners, as well as athletes dealing with nagging back issues or rehabbing from other injuries.

We manufacture the TB-1 in Columbus, OH, and it's fully compatible with standard Oly plates.

Approved for the new Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT)

This product has been officially approved for use with the United States Army’s Combat Fitness Test, a 6-event readiness assessment that’s replacing the previous 3-event Army Physical Fitness Test in 2020. The grueling new ACFT is neutral across all genders and age groups, and includes a strength deadlift, standing power throw, hand-release push-ups, sprint/drag/carry, leg tuck, and a 2-mile run.

IMPORTANT: Some standard barbell collars may not work on this specialty bar. We recommend using Axle Collars with this barbell.

Well worth it!
This trap bar is the real deal - solid construction and I'm not worried about beating it up one bit. The only minor downfall is that the powder coat makes it difficult to pull the boneyard plates off, but it's nothing that can't be overcome. Looking forward to my next Rogue purchase. Love that you guys stick to the made in USA roots.

Rock solid
Excellent trap bar. Really beefy and stout. Great knurling on the handles. A few reviews have mentioned standard collars don’t work — yes, these are axle bar sleeves. You will need axle collars. Other reviews mention no center knurling on handles. This really isn’t a big deal. It’s very easy to line your knuckles up with the sleeves to ensure your hands are centered. Really nice bar. Would buy again for sure

Very sturdy
Hefty, well built bar. Just wish it had a center stripe on each handle to know where the balance point is

Excellent bar
Rock solid — typical Rogue quality. Bar has a heavy, yet wonderfully balanced, feel and weight. Knurling is gritty and grabby. Some reviews of this bar complains there is no center knurling; however, it is very easy to grab the bar and line your middle knuckle up with the sleeve — making it perfectly balanced when the bar is picked up. Another complaint of this bar from reviewers is their regular collars don’t fit (too big) and plates aren’t tight on the sleeves —- this trap bar has axle sleeves and aren’t your regular barbell sleeves. They are specifically designed to axle bar specs. As such, they are a fraction smaller in diameter, so there will be a tiny amount of play on the plates, and you will also need to buy axle collars or lift without. All of this is 100% normal and not a defect. I hesitated purchasing this bar for awhile, but wish I would have done it sooner. I use it for a lot of primary lifts, and a lot of accessory work too. Can’t go wrong with it.

Solid construction, industrial strength & durable
Owned it for over two months now, use it two to three times weekly. No issues when lifting heavy if I need to drop it as the bar is very solid, just wish it had centering marks on the grips though, would prevent the need to adjust grip with heavy loads at times.

It's an amazing beast!
The knurling: knurling is maybe the most annoyingly subjective topic of barbell reviews. I read one review that this knurling is extreme. It's not. If you like the knurling on the Rogue power bar, this is close, but not as aggressive. The balance: I bought this to upgrade from a CAP trap bar (you know it). The CAP bar claimed a 53lb weight. The Rogue TB-1 claims a 60lb, but it's balance and distribution make it very easy to move around, stand up, lay down. I can also use my bar jack with this, just like a regular barbell.

TB-1 Trap Bar 2.0
This thing is incredible! Balance is perfect. Construction is over done making it extremely worth its money! You can't go wrong purchasing/using this bar. Great for deadlifts, shrugs, farmer's walks.

Inclusive of women lifters
Love this trap bar and live rogue but there are lots of smaller framed lifters out there now and having a narrow grip option is critical for us. Please Rogue - consider that not all your customers are huge !!
