Rx Shin Guards 2.0

Rx Smart Gear has upgraded and retooled what was already one of the most effective shin guards in the industry. The Rx Shin Guard 2.0 combines a tough canvas exterior with a soft and comfortable neoprene inner, making it durable enough for protection during rope climbs and dead lifts, but flexible enough for a free range of motion. Better still, you can put on the guard and tighten it without having to remove your shoe first.

The Rx Shin Guard 2.0 features a uniquely one-size-fits-all design, accommodating calves from 11” in diameter to 21”. There are no bothersome stirrups, straps, or zippers, and the flared bottom from Version 1.0 has been removed to enable greater ankle flexion.

Though it’s suited for a wide range of athletes, the guard still contours naturally for a form-fitting hold, preventing any slipping or twisting during use.

Great gear
I bought these a few months ago. I use them now when I do the rope climb and box jumps. They give me a little more peace of mind that if I slip it’s not going to be too bad.

Works for rope climbs, could have lasted longer
I bought these a year ago, for rope climbs. I like that I don't have to remove my shoes to put these on, and the rope slides well on the fabric coming down. They lasted about a year before a hole developed in the ankle part. I suppose any product would have done this in time, however, I would have liked some more durability. Maybe the 3.0 version could have an extra layer of fabric sewn into the ankle part, where the rope slides the majority of the time. That said, I am buying another set of these.

Fit is not great
I think I got the wrong size even though I followed directions for sizing. If I put the seam of the shin guard on the back of my calf like it’s supposed to fit I end up with the Velcro right on top of my shin...have to move the seam to the side

Does the job!
I'm still getting used to the best way to put them on. Velcro straps seem to get in the way while lifting, when the position of guards fit most comfortably. But they are effective, convenient, and do the job. Glad I bought them.

Unsure as to it's effectiveness
I purchased these after a really nasty box jump injury (not my first or probably my last). I am unsure these will really protect my shins from damaging injuries with box jumps as they are not very structured or padded. I believe the most it will do is prevent a major gash although I picture dented skin could still be possible. What I do see these as very helpful for, however, is for rope climbs when long socks just don't seem to stay up well. These are definitely very high quality, and the velcro will definitely not come undone early as it is the strongest velcro adhesion I have ever felt. If you are looking for shin guards that provide the most padding possible to allow mobility while protecting this is a great purchase. But I do not think that these will fully protect your shins on wooden box jumps.

Shins are covered!
I use for rope climbs. Hate rope burns and have scars to prove I needed these. Since I have owned them, no burns. Have not had a jumpbox mishap since purchase, so can't comment there. The wrap design does allow for one size fits all. I am 6'1 and 220. Could easily fit a larger person.

Work great!
I bought these shin guards about a month ago and have used them a few times since with no complaint. I recently learned to do rope climbs and I bruised up my leg one day so I decided I had to have some shin guards. I searched on Amazon but only found guards that slid on. I liked the Rogue guards because they Velcro on so you don’t have to take your shoes off to wear. I would definitely recommend this product!
