Rogue Monster Rhino Belt Squat - Stand Alone
New Patent-Pending System for Lower Body Training - For Use with Rogue Monster & Fortis Power Racks

The freestanding version of the Rogue Monster Rhino Belt Squat (patent pending) requires no separate rack/rig for set-up, as the system includes a pair of 53.925” steel legs for mounting and two angled 3x3” front feet for platform stability. This compact unit can be set up in garage gyms, low-ceiling home gyms, or full-scale facilities, offering athletes the ability to get many of the lower body training benefits of squats and other workouts without putting unnecessary stress on the shoulders or lower back. Manufactured in Columbus, Ohio, the stand-alone Monster Rhino Belt Squat comes with 3x3” arms and crossmembers, a 3x6” weight trolley tower, and a 0.25" braided cable for raising/lowering the weight trolley. When not in use, the trolley is stored on a 1" thick UHMW plastic hook, or “Rhino Horn.” A diamond-tread plate platform provides steady footing, adjustable handles offer overhand and neutral grip options, and our exclusive Rogue Multi Belt (included standard) easily accommodates most waist sizes, with adjustments from 41” to 61”. The entire Rhino unit (aside from the platform, handles and weight posts) is finished in our Medium Gloss Black powdercoat.

Fast Rogue Shipping: Your Rhino will be efficiently packed and shipped freight from our Columbus, OH, warehouse. The Rogue Shipping System allows you to track your order from the time you place it to the time it hits your door. Order today, track today.

Set-Up: The Monster Rhino Belt Squat ships freight, some assembly required, and it must be bolted to the floor before use. A pair of Monster 1” Wrenches are included, however additional tools will be required to finish assembly. When complete, the trolley tower will reach a height of 78.5" from the floor. The freestanding / stand-alone version has a total footprint of 53" x 60.5", and extends approx. 21.5" off the legs. Please Note: Additional clearance (beyond 21.5") is required for adding plates.

Using the Rhino Belt Squat: Step onto the platform and strap on the Rogue Multi Belt around your hips. Upon standing up, the trolley will rise and disengage from the Rhino Horn. This allows users to then pull back on the handles and start squatting. Once the handles are pulled back, they will stay back until the user pushes the handles back towards the tower, allowing the horn to safely re-engage the trolley.

Benefits of Belt Squats: Performing belt squats rather than traditional back squats / front squats / Zercher squats can be beneficial for a wide range of reasons. Athletes dealing with regular back pain or struggling with spinal compression from axial loading can circumvent those issues by putting the lion’s share of the load on the hips and legs. Similarly, anyone rehabbing from an upper body injury (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, etc.) can still get in their lower body work without having to worry about supporting a barbell.

Belt Squats provide traction to the spine, help add substantial volume to the legs, and offer versatility for other types of training, from calf raises to rows, shrugs, and deadlifts—all easily performed even in a home gym with limited space. A pair of welded-on Band Pegs are included with the system for additional resistance work.

What’s Included with the Freestanding Monster Rhino Belt Squat:

  • 1Loadable Weight Trolley

Our innovative weight trolley design (patent pending) features two stainless steel, horizontal weight posts with 15.75" of loading capacity on each side. A set of (4) machined Acetal rollers, each containing (2) bearings, ensure the trolley moves smoothly up and down the rail. Laser-cut Rogue branding is featured on each side, and the tower includes a Rhino sticker on each side, as well.

  • 2Squat Platform

The platform of the Monster Rhino Belt Squat is made from 0.125" thick diamond tread plate and is finished in our Signature Texture Black powdercoat to provide advanced durability and a non-slip surface. The tread plate sits on top of a 1" x 3" steel frame and attaches to 3x3" front feet for additional stability and rigidity. The platform dimensions are 26" deep x 48.5" wide. When the unit is installed, the top of the platform sits 7" above the ground.

  • 3Rhino Horn

This is a 1" thick UHMW plastic horn, sandwiched between steel plates, that holds the trolley when not in use. The Rhino Horn is adjustable up and down so that the "racked" or resting height of the trolley can be accommodated to specific users heights.

  • 4Adjustable Handles

The handles on the Rhino are 1.25" in diameter and can be adjusted up or down for the user’s comfort. They are very similar to the handles found on our Rogue Monster Lever Arms and allow for both overhand and neutral grip positions. The inside of the channel on the handles features a protective UHMW plastic cover.

  • 5Exclusive Squat Belt

Each Rhino unit includes a custom designed Rogue Multi Belt, made in the USA. This exclusive squat belt offers six adjustable size settings (from 41” to 61”), built-in padding for reduced hip friction, and a spacer mesh interior for breathability. It was developed from an original design brought to us by Brian Henesey of OverAchieve Sports and Speed.

  • 6Mounting Legs

Since this version of the Rhino stands on its own, we’ve included a set of 53.925" tall legs that serve the same purpose as the uprights on a rack would. Two angled front feet (3x3”) that help ensure the stability for the platform.

Rogue Monster Rhino Belt Squat - Stand Alone is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic!! We just had the Rogue Rhino Belt Squat installed at a few of our gym locations and I personally love it! I no longer have to deal with lower back pain when squatting heavy due to a deeper than normal spinal curve in my lumbar region. My PT clients really like to, well the ones who can use it. There's one glaring issue- with shorter/smaller clients especially females, the supplied belt is huge!! Example- I have 2 advanced female clients who are under 5'5" and this belt simply will not work. A smaller size (in both width and diameter) belt designed with shorter males and most females in mind would make this a totally complete package. Would love to hear back from Rogue on this possibly becoming a reality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An absolute unit Using in a commercial setting. Easy put together (2 guys about 1 hr). Stand alone floor mounted. Works perfectly. Only cons (this a 4 star, though wish there was a 4.5 star option) are: 1. Why cant plate pegs have a slight angle, to avoid potential plates falling off? They do come with a pair of oso collars, that are even a tad smaller than traditional collars - why couldn't pegs even be made to same barbell collar specs? 2. Platform could be a bit deeper to include room for other exercises (lunge movements, split leg, bigger athletes, etc). But definitely would not hesitate recommending to purchase. Still the best on market for adjustability and use that I've come across.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome work around! I am 70 years old and have trashed my back my whole life being a gym rat as a youngin’, snow skiing, motocrossing and thirty years in law enforcement. I have not been able to adequately train my legs recently but since purchasing the RogueMonster Belt Stand Alone apparatus I have been to squat with no adverse spinal compression. I love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful beast - but belt size options plz Love this machine - beautifully crafted and fantastic piece of equipment. Footprint is perfect for my home gym. However - the spud belt that comes with it is useless for a small/average female sized human. Great machine - but a belt size/option would be MUCH better for actual use than the belt it came with. It is too wide, far too large diameter even on the smallest hook and thus hangs much too low to make proper use of the machine at depth for this 5’4 female :/ Had to stack bumper up on footplate to hit depth and it was so wide it still restricted movement omg. Was soooo stoked to get this then had to reach out to spud and order a size small bc yeah no this belt was huge for me lolllll Machine works MUCH better now for full rom and correct fit. Just would have been much better experience out the gate with belt size option for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Design We love this and its being used many times a day. It is MUCH more challenging than a Pit Shark or other models from the basis of load. The band pegs are great but could be a tad longer. Overall the belt squat is amazing, easy to build and very easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock solid piece of equipment I have been dreaming of a garage gym for years and we just moved into a house where we can build one. This was the first piece of equipment I bought, and it was delivered in about 4ish weeks. Very simple to put together but not easy. I was sweating and panting but I loved it! It all makes sense and you can tell each piece is high quality and through out well. It is a true 1:1 ratio with the weights. The belt is too tall and stiff so I am replacing it with a Spud inc. belt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brutal but worth it The Rhino was here in 22 days from when I ordered. Rogue really did a great job on the packaging and the installation was pretty easy with 2 guys. Make sure to pay attention to the directions on the platform because the bolts (wrenches included) take some time and you don't want to have redo a part (specifically pages 5&6 for the platform. Took longer cutting up all the cardboard for recycling than it did to install it. I have been testing it out over the last few days with squats, KB deadlifts, static holds and plate step ups etc. I was pretty shocked how crushed I was after a simple plate step up Tabata with 270lbs in plates on the trolley. Really nice change of pace from both box squats and regular barbell movements. There was no way I could ever fit the Westside ATP in my garage so this was a great option. I am impressed with both the size and the price. The footprint is pretty good for a two car garage and like all of my other rogue equipment, it's built like a tank. The Spud belt is great and works great for lifters of different sizes with the 3 different loop options. Takes a little breaking in but not much. There are unlimited exercises you can do on the RHINO and I really think Rogue hit a home run with this piece.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent product Putting the Belt Squat together took me 2 days, honestly I had to walk away from it. The 2 wrenches Rogue provides is frustrating and almost comical. The unit was packaged beautifully on an extra large pallet. Once I put it together I was blown away by the craftsmanship. This machine is a tank. Rogue never disappoints when it comes to quality. I spent a while trying to get all the uprights aligned and square. If you have OCD like me, don't tighten everything down until it's perfect. Pulley belt squats like this provide a wide range of exercises, not just squats. I sold a Matt Wenning lever belt squat prior to purchasing this and I have zero regrets. The Wenning belt squat was one dimensional and had a very large foot print. The Rogue Belt Squat surprisingly does not take up much space. I read a lot of complaints about the Spud Inc belt that is included but personally I have not had any issues with discomfort or length (I'm 6 ft).
