Protect your shins

Rope climbs, dead lifts, cleans and snatches can be hard on your shins (so hard that some athletes develop staph infections). Built with UV protective 5MM of hi-tech neoprene and breathable 10-24 Lycra, Rock Guards protect and serve. They’re light-weight and slightly compressive, yet offer the ultimate in protection.

Rock Guards are great for:

  • Rope climbs
  • Dead-lifts
  • Cleans and snatches
  • Box Jumps

New Features:

  • Impact resistive 5MM Neoprene fronts fused to a compressive lycra sleeve.
  • Back zip makes them easy to get on.
  • Foot stirrup and silicone grips keep them in place

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Do what you'd expect Pros: They do exactly what they should and protect your shins through box jumps, rope climbs, deadlifts, etc. They stay comfortable on your legs throughout and fit nice and snug. The box claims they're great for OC races too, but I haven't used them for that nor do I plan to. Cons: The only major con is they're expensive for what they are. Other than that, I only have one minor problem of them sometimes teaming up with my shoe to rub me right behind the tongue on the top of my foot. Tip: Be sure to let them air dry out after use because as you'd expect they're soaked by the time your workout is over

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice product to protect shins for barbell lifts These were very good for rope climbing and have good padding in front of shin for barbell lifts. For now i only used these for rope climbing. They compress a little also for other activities. They are more cumbersome to put on and take off since you put them on like a sock and have a stir-up for the heel to prevent crawling up leg. I prefer the XT Brace for barbell lifts since can easily remove it when switching to non-lifting activities. But if you want more protection then these Rock Guards are ideal. For rope climbing, make sure the zipper on the inside of leg and to avoid cutting into lower leg.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from definitely works! definitely works. I use more than six months. deadlift, rope, jumps, snatch, jerks - wherever barbell runs along the foot - protection works. at the same time, no one said it rock guards protect from falls and bumps.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great idea, bad design Even though I ordered the largest size, it takes a lot of effort to put them on, and it felt like I'm about to dislocate my foot when I took them off. The zippers are a joke - even if I manage to zip them, they won't stay zipped. And my legs/calves are not even big! If it was Amazon, I would have returned them, but considering Rogue's return policy, it's not even worth it if I have to cover shipping. Disappointing and a great reminder why I only shop on Amazon most of the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Protection I've had my Rock Guards for about 8 months. I bought them after I missed a box jump and got a nasty scrape on my shins and infection. I also use them for OLY lifts to protect my shins from the scrape. I recently missed a box jump but thanks to the Guards no scrape just a little bruise. I highly recommend them and I will be ordering a new pair soon.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Won't take a beating - Deadlifters beware! I have used these for only two full deadlifting sessions now. We have good gnurling on our bars and it has torn through the top layer of neoprene already. I'm waiting to see if it chews through the bulk of the neoprene as well. I'm not even lifting big weights here... we're talking 425 and under. That being said, it is protecting my shins for now. But if you have a real deadlift bar, then these will wear down very quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great idea, execution could be better The concept and design of the Rock Guards are excellent...they protect the shins during deadlifts VERY well and are pretty easy to put on and take off. Unfortunately, the sewing leaves quite a bit to be desired, particularly the elastic bands that go underneath the feet. I have had to carefully re-sew the elastic bands back on to the shin guards. If this part of the design was a bit more robustly engineered, you'd get a 5 out of 5 stars from me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stirrups Failed After First Use The shine guards work well, and do the job. However, after the first use one of the stirrups failed and came apart at the stitching. Also, the side zipper is useless, meaning it does not stay zipped. My opinion, do away with the zippers and sewn stirrups and just have an integrated stirrups.
