Josh Bridges

He’s played the role of the underdog and the comeback kid, but with six CrossFit Games appearances to his credit, including three Top 10 finishes, Josh Bridges is better described simply as one of the world’s toughest pound-for-pound athletes.

The former U.S. Navy Seal first took up CrossFit back in 2005, adapting some of his past skills as an amateur wrestler into a new, demanding athletic pursuit. Six years later, he would finally make his debut appearance at the 2011 CrossFit Games, and no one would soon forget it. At 5’5” and 160 pounds, the versatile, determined Bridges charged his way to a 2nd place overall finish, quickly making him among the most popular new faces in the sport.

Those fans would prove loyal, too, sticking with Josh as he rehabbed from a serious knee injury that cost him most of the 2012 competition season. Once recovered, the San Diego based Bridges picked up right where he left off, winning a SoCal Regional (2013) and excelling at the Games in 2013 (7th place) and 2014 (4th place). With back-to-back 1st place finishes in the California Regional in 2016 and 2017 and another trip to the Games in 2018, he proved that in his mid 30s, he was still a force to be reckoned with. Now time will tell if Bridges will silence the doubters once again, as he continues to rehab from a second major knee surgery.

As part of the Rogue Signature Series, Josh has his own line of original products bearing his name, including the Bridges Series Rehband Knee Support and official Josh Bridges “Stache” T-shirt, inspired by his famous facial hair.
