Excellent + shipped very fast
Just what we were looking for. Enough weight to do most anything. Got the woman's bar that both my wife and I use. 100% satisfied.
It shipped very fast and came in mint condition.

Great set, great customer service!!!!!
Purchased last month. I have used the bumpers for years at boxes and now setting things up for more training at home. One 25 bumper was missing and was remedied by a quick call to customer service. He asked the basic obligatory questions then sent me the plate no problems, had it in a couple days. The Ohio bar knurling is awesome. Worked some dead-lift yesterday and cant believe how nice it was. Its going to make it hard to work out with the beat up equipment at the box now. Great service!!!! I am a repeat customer and will continue to be!!!!!!

If you want to get serious...
I've been working out for almost ten years, and 3 months after getting this set and changing my workout routine to just deadlifts, squats, bench, overhead press, and power cleans... I now have everyone commenting and asking if I've been working out, too bad I didn't get this set sooner! Literally the best life choice I've made, what an investment in yourself. If you are browsing and drooling over getting a set like this, I'm telling you right now, just do it. Never been so stoked about a purchase. Dont go cheap, dont get a lighter set... this is the one!

Great Bar & Plate Package!
I'm so glad I found this bar and plate set! It literally took me 3 weeks of research until I finally bit the bullet on this one. If I was going to spend at least 700 for gear, I wanted to make sure the bar and plates were quality and would last a long time. I searched other brands, Amazon, sporting goods stores - but eventually all roads led me to Rogue and I don't think I'll ever look elsewhere for my lifting needs. The trust behind this company is so strong that you definitely get what you pay for, no doubt.
So, below is a rather detailed summary of items for those of you who are in the market as I was:
1) Website/Purchase: Awesome and easy to navigate. I had to use my PC since I had an error on checkout on my Mac (Firefox issue?) They have a disclaimer and comment in the checkout page about some errors occurring.) Otherwise, secure and simple.
2) Shipping/Handling: Geez that was a fast delivery! Literally took less than a week from Purchase to Delivery to my door. Ohio to California with 300+ pounds. What I really loved about this was that it was shipped via UPS and not a freight truck. I was really worried that a freight truck wouldn't be able to deliver to my area, like many other weightlifting websites state that they only ship via freight truck. Total of 6 boxes for the plates shipped and they all arrived together. The bar arrived the next day. All items shipped without issue or major defects to the packaging. All items arrived brand new.
3) Bar: What a great feeling bar. To tell you the truth, I have never owned a bar on my own. The last bar I touched was in college, and they don't compare to this! Grip is great and doesn't dig too much but enough to ensure you have a secure enough grip for your lifting needs. Haven't loaded it up yet but lifting doesn't break your wrists due to weights rolling and have not noticed any odd bending. Oh, and black on black looks great.
4) Bumper Plates: I have never used bumper plates before and it took me a while to convince myself to get these instead of traditional metal. I got these because I was worried about damaging tile floors and also noise from the metal on metal. I prefer metal but had to compromise with adulting responsibilities... and the Mrs. As others have said, they do smell like they just came off the assembly line. But the rubber isn't too overpowering that it'll make you pass out. Just be sure to allow for ventilation. I've had mine for 1-2 weeks and the smell does fill the room if the window/doors are closed. Usage-wise, they are great. They don't bounce around as I imagined it would and they are great for deadlifts. I weighed them each individually and all were within 1-1.5 pounds of set weight.
Thanks for manufacturing and selling such a great quality product Rogue! I will definitely be shopping from you for my weightlifting needs.

Great set
I really enjoy this set. Shipping was really fast, got to me within a week. Only things that kept it from 5 stars is the fact that they came with HG bumpers, not Hi-Temp (not sure if the plates offered in the package got swapped between me ordering and placing this review). The HG bumpers themselves look great and are quite functional, but they have a made in China sticker on the inner ring that I didn't check for, so when I started using them the sticker got scraped up and deposited on my bar. Still though, this set is definitely worth the money.

Excellent Product
I bought the Alpha Bar & Bumper set just over a month ago, and I'm than pleased with my purchase. The weights have a dead bounce as listed in the details and look great. Honestly I don't have any complaints, everything is as advertised additionally all the equipment showed up within a week. Very happy Customer, I will always purchase Rouge.

You Can't Buy Better Equipment Anywhere Period!
Everyone has heard of the brand and reputation associated with Rogue, however this set far exceeded my expectations with the highest quality construction and craftmanship. Highly recommend anyone looking for the best!

Love it. Works great in my garage gym
I have had these for a few weeks. I have mostly been using them for cleans and deadlifts. The Ohio bar is very nice especially with a good coat of chalk on the hands. The grip on the bar is sharp but not excessive. It has mild whip to it which makes it nice for deadlift. If you plan on doing oly lifting look elsewhere. The plates are pretty dead bouncing. And it may sound odd but they do smell funny for a while. The smell went away after about a week. All in all a good deal.
