Rogue HG 2.0 Bumper Plates

Same quality plates, revamped design. Rogue HG 2.0 Bumpers feature new artwork (still black, still old school), with the consistent dead bounce, durability, and distinctive smooth finish athletes have come to expect from the HG line. These quality, budget-priced plates are the IWF standard 450mm in diameter, but are cut thinner than a lot of comparable bumpers to allow for more weight to be loaded on the bar. HG 2.0’s also score an average of 88 on the Shore A Durometer scale, giving them a dead blow on par with a lot of the pricier comp plates in the industry.

Battle-tested at the CrossFit Games and Regionals, HG Bumper Plates are both a high-performance and smart economical choice for any training facility. Check out the wide range of plate sets or simple pairs available to order on the right column, or read the reviews below to see what current HG Bumper owners have to say about the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from IMO - better than the Hi-Temps I used the High-Temp plates at a crossfit gym for several months, and they were OK. Notably, they bounce a LOT, and the 10lb plates are very weak and bend easily. I decided to try these HG 2.0 bumpers for my home gym, and I'm very glad I did. They bounce MUCH less than the High-Temps, though that energy has to go somewhere so they are louder when dropped. They are also stiffer than the High-Temps. I wouldn't recommend dropping a bar with only 10's on it, as you will eventually destroy the plates - but these are much stiffer and hold up much better than the High-Temps. One issue that may be relevant to some people is the HG 2.0 are much smoother than High-Temps, so they will show wear sooner. I use mine inside on a stall-mat floor, so this is no issue. However, if you use your bumpers outside or on pavement, the High-Temps might be better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Center ring shifts - rubber falling off Bought a 160lb set a few months back. 25lb plates started showing wear and tear within a few weeks of indoor use. Center ring began to shift and cause the rubber to tear. The 25lb plates are not well made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome. For CrossFit: I'd just be careful dropping the 10lb plates. They bend pretty easily. I don't have that problem with heavier plates but you can fix it by stacking some plates on top overnight to make them flat again or avoid it by not dropping the bar from overhead (with lightweight) But if you know crossfit you know that's inevitable sometimes lol other than that I love the plates. They look nice. I really like the shiny finish. Also a good choice if your space is limited since they barely bounce compared to the high temp. I wouldn't buy hi temps unless you have weak floors, large space, and don't care about the aesthetic.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good company; bit of a miss with these. My issue is durability. Owned these for a month or 2 now. Already seeing little chips and pieces of rubber breaking away. Funny part is I don't even Oly lift with these, I powerlift and use them for deadlifts. Definitely expected them to hold up for a long time, but I can see them wearing down in the near-ish future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 25s and 45's rings shift from minimal dropping I have had these plates since September of last year the 45's and 25's inserts have shifted and they are tearing into the rubber. I was concerned as I drop the weight for safety's sake only. overall the plates are very nice, but this seems to be a reoccurrence with this model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Plates Great looking plates that work well. They fit great on my Ohio Power Bar. I was worried about noise at first after reading some of the reviews, but they seem to be fine. Maybe if you're doing Crossfit or lots of Olympic lifts, you might want to look at the Hi-Temps, but for powerlifting these will do the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bumper Plates I have zero complaints about these. Make sure you get a storage rack of some sort as it will get annoying quick to have to pick the 45s up. Great bounce, look great, definitely recommend.
