After inital confusion, a bit useful
I just received the gemini and the cradle from MobilityWOD. Initially i was rather confused. I assumed the main benefit of the cradle would be to use it against a wall, but this proved inefficient. Using it on the floor is much more efficient. Additionally, as another reviewer, i thought the gemini would roll in the cradle. It does not. It is a stationary docking solution for the gemini. It allows you to slightly rock back and forth, without having to worry about the gemini rolling off somewhere other than your preffered point of personal hell which is your knots. - Can you achieve the same result without the cradle? Yes. - The gemini already allows for fine-tuned, precision rolling without much issue. - The cradle just makes it effortless to hold it steady at a particular spot. - So, is it a required piece of equipment? No. - I believe it is labeled optional for a reason. Would i recommend it? Eh, no. It's fine, but don't go out on a limb to get it. Will update the review if it ages well or i find some magnificent use for it. Just get the supernova 120mm/80mm and the gemini, and you'll be screaming in agony in no time. I own the supernova 80mm, the gemini and the cradle. The supernova/gemini are teriffic, highly recommended.

Not what I expected
I'm still not sure if I had the wrong expectations, or if the product doesn't work. I thought that the gemini would "roll" within the cradle. It does not. It basically sticks to the cradle, and the cradle can rock slightly back and forth. I don't see the purpose of being able to rock back and forth with it, but perhaps I'm not doing it correctly. I hate to be the guy that only leaves bad reviews. I have several other mobility WOD tools and they are amazingly useful and of the highest quality. I just didn't want another buyer to misunderstand this product like I did.

Heavy duty
Like the previous reviewer, I agree that this cradle is robust. The lacrosse ball use is also pretty convenient, as the Gemini is solid, maybe a little too rigid for initial use. Start with the lacrosse balls and transition to the Gemini is my advice. At least that's what worked b best for me.
Yes, I recommend this product

Very sturdy!
This cradle is a lot heavier than it looks. This thing is perfect for allowing you to rock back and forth while mobilizing your upper back. And the best part - you can use two lacrosse balls if you don't have a Gemini. Lacrosse balls taped together tend to slide when trying to work on your upper back, but it is not a problem when using this cradle.
