Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used them in a powerlifting meet this weekend. Awesome, used in competition without issues. Strong enough to hold 600 plus on a bar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value fpr cost Collars tend to break a lot at the box, so this is a good low-cost collar when they are taking daily abuse and need to get replaced occasionally.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don’t last....... After two uses one of the collars doesn’t stay tight. I’m having to constantly tighten up one side of the bar during a WOD. Very annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get the job done perfectly As a few reviewers have noted, they feel a little light out of the box but so far I have had no issues with them. They stay on securely, even when finishing heavy deadlifts lazily (ok, very lazily). Many have noted the lever functions somewhat oddly (the lever doesn't sit flush when closed). My guess is this is to allow the collar to function even if the lock mechnism is worn out, the lever can simply be closed further until tight to bar.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Firmly hold the plates, but the lever disappoints We bought them and used them once. On our bars, the only way we could get them on was to open the lever until it clicked and that took some figuring out. Once installed, they held our bumper plates in place very well. Removing them was difficult: it takes more force than I'd prefer to open the lever and there's not a lot of purchase on the collar itself to get leverage: if you have sweaty hands, forget it. Also, when the lever finally pops up, it flips fast and can snap into your hand with a little sting They work by pushing a nub in the lever that protrudes to the inside of the collar into the bar, and I imagine this could wear over time, which could make it easier for a while, but would eventually wear out. They seemed like they held better than spring collars, and are definitely more aesthetically pleasing, but the negatives outweighed the positives for us. We returned them and picked a different design.
