Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them! I just got these and I love them. I have the OSO Pro collars (the ones that look like a gear with six cogs) which I also love, but I noticed that they were starting to chew up my bumpers. I bought these because I figured the lower profile design would be easier on the bumpers, and it is. The Pro collars are so sweet, but I kinda wish I had just gotten these in the first place. They seem to be just as secure as the OSO pro collars and cost over $20 less. The only reasons I can think of to get the Pro or Elite collars over these is for the added bling factor and the fact that they are heavy enough to make make your 20kg barbell basically an even 45lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly easy to remove and simple design. These collars are surprisingly easy to remove. From some of the other reviews, I thought they were going to be more difficult. By design these do not expand open like some other collars that can pop open during a workout. These collars have a solid round aluminum body with a rugged, rubberish inner liner. The lever on the far side of the collar simply cams against the barbell to lock the collar in place. I can even see how I could repair these collars if they were to lose their grip. Simplicity is typically longer lasting - buy these collars!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy Collar They have a small profile although do a good job at keeping the plate secure on the sleeve. Used with both Rogue Olympic weightlifting bar and DHS training bar. They take a careful hand to remove due to the inner rubber lining. They do the job they are built for and have been in use for 1 week so far. 12/7/16 NOTE: these will not work on the Rogue axle bars. It will be necessary to purchase the OSO axle specific collars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small but mighty I have zero complaints. The price is great and they really stay on quite well. I didn't have any issues using them, they worked great from the start. Several people in the gym have picked them up since and have had the same experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Collars Bottom line up front: in my opinion best collar for the money. I was looking for something with more hold than the standard plastic collars or spring collars I had available. Read a lot of reviews for metal ones and decided on the because people had problems with the gear like ones cutting into bumpers over time. I have had these for about 10 months and I love them. Several other people at my box have used them also and they have all been pleased. No issues with them cutting into plates. They do have a little bit of a break in time and are a little extra slow when it's cold for what it is worth, and are not super fast to change but as you get used to them they are fine. Conclusion see bottom line up front.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Collars These are a vast improvement over the HG and spring collars I had been using. They held strong for a recent "Grace" and "Elizabeth" workout I did (only slight movement). The colored finish will take a bit of damage on the faces as a result of plate contact, but they are gym equipment after all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy! I originally bought these as a temporary fill in since the Gold OSO Elite Collar I wanted were out of stock, also with the intention to donate to my box, CrossFit Archangel. These are great collars. Lightweight, and in my opinion, the perfect substitute/upgrade from the HG collars and more affordable. I wish they came in more color options. I would 10/10 recommend this set for the normal up and coming CrossFitter who's looking to invest in their first set of collars. I'm a L1 Trainer at CrossFit Archangel, so as a way to add some next level atmosphere to my box, I personally am budgeting to buy a set or 2 every month for my gym. These are simple and easy to use. For $27 + tax, you can't beat that as your basic level collar.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Way too slow to change for anything but PR lift This is the first item from Rogue I would've returned if I weren't too busy (er, lazy). They are so tight just sliding on and off the bar (and yes, they're fully open) that they are really annoying to work with. An annoying amount of force is required to lock and unlock repeatedly during workout. Seems so overkill. Workout partners all complain about it. My OSO Barbell Clamps are just right and are my go to clamps for all my Rogue conventional bars and my Texas Dead bar. The Rogue Metal Axle collars are the most versatile as they work on everything in my gym, from the sled and reverse hyper, to my Duffalo and SS bar. If had to pick only one collar, the Rogue Metal Axle is the only one that works on all the widely varying diameters of the different bars and equipment.
