BEHIND THE PROGRAMMING

Rob Lawson is the owner and head coach of CrossFit Aberdeen, one of Scotland’s most established affiliates. Since 2013, he’s served as a Flowmaster and Mentor with the CrossFit Seminar Staff. Originally from Wales, Rob played rugby at the Premiership and international age-grade levels for clubs including Swansea RFC, Cardiff RFC, and Aberdeen Rugby. His experience in elite sport sparked a deep interest in functional fitness and strength and conditioning, leading him to start CrossFit Aberdeen in 2011. What began as garage workouts for teammates has since grown into a broad training program serving everyone from children and teens to adaptive athletes, Olympians, and adults over 70. His approach remains rooted in evidence-based training and a commitment to doing the right things—for the right reasons, for the right people.
