Rogue 3" Ohio Belt

For athletes who prefer a slightly thinner lifting belt for a freer range of movement, the 3” Ohio Belt is a simple solution—made from the same 10mm thick vegetable tanned leather as our standard 4” version.

The reduction in belt width still offers firm, reliable support, with a wide range of additional potential benefits, including:

  • Preventing the belt from digging into the ribs and/or hips of women or smaller athletes.
  • Enabling more comfortable bench press movements without hindering the arch.
  • Reducing friction or “pinching” during deadlifts, Olympic lifts, etc.
More on the Vegetable Tanning Process

Derived from the all-natural cowboy method of tanning hides, the vegetable tanning process can take weeks to complete, versus the mere hours of modern sole tanning. The reward for this painstaking effort, however, is a firm, ultra-durable, water-resistant leather weight belt with a rich, natural brown tone. The vegetable tanning process means you'll receive a belt with a softer feel that is just as strong as the rest, with a break-in time that is nearly nonexistent.

All of our Ohio Belts are manufactured with pride in Ohio. The 3” model includes a sturdy double-prong buckle with a seamless roller in a bright zinc finish. Rogue branding is included on the loop as well as the portion of the belt that sits across the center of the back. Be sure to reference the Fit Guide below before selecting your preferred size.

Rogue 3" Ohio Belt is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Go Ahead and Purchase It At first I was very apprehensive in purchasing this product, especially seeing all the types of belts, makers out there, and price. I knew I wanted something to last along time and wanted the 2 prong (single is ok too, I just wanted 2) but was unsure of the sizing 3-4". I am very happy and pleased I purchased this belt (3", 2 prong). I did not need to break-in this belt, it came ready to fight. A few other gym goers actually bought this belt (and the 4", 1 prong) once they saw me use it. It is strong yet comfortable since it does not dig in near my ribs or hips (because this needs to sit by your belly-button). I will most certainly purchase this product again - if anything unfortunate happens to it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty & Great Quality I’m 68 years old and recently bought this belt because the belt I bought when I was 25, which served me faithfully for 43 years, no longer fit. I gave my old belt to someone else and it continues to be a great belt. Shopping for a belt 43 years later was quite an eye-opener. I’ve always bought quality product so this is the belt that I thought would go another 43 years. Plus, I needed a belt that was IPF approved, since I currently compete in powerlifting. I like that it is only 3 inches wide so it gives me the flexibility I need to move. It’s actually thicker than my old belt and gives me superior support. I will win a world record with this belt latter this year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for short torsos This belt provides the perfect support without digging into the rib cage for those with short torsos. For reference, I am 5'3, 125lbs, and have a 27" waist. I bought a small and the prongs usually sit within the middle set of holes. The belt arrives mostly broken in and was ready for deadlifts when I got it in the mail!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Deadlifts Picked one of these up as soon as they came out. Perfect for short people or for those with a short torso when doing deadlifts. No more belt digging up under your rib cage when squatting. Gave it a couple good coats of leather conditioner to soften it up and conforms to the body faster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Short people! I love this belt. I looked all over for a belt less than 4” that was not tapered and this was the only one I found. I waited for it to be released as I needed an IPF approved belt. I’m 5’1” and it is perfect for a deadlift belt!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for deadlift! I bought this belt as a regular 4" was not optimal for deadlift, and I'm very satisfied with this belt. Great quality and fit. In fact, I was so happy with the belt that I bought Ohio 4" for squats and overhead press (which was perfect as well). A note on sizing: My waist is 33 inch atm, so I found myself between M and L. I bought L for 3", which is good and I also have three spare holes. However, I bought M for 4" and consider this somewhat better, as I don't plan on increasing my waist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best apu approved belt I looked everywhere for a 3 inch powerlifting federation approved belt and this was it. Iv used it and it is honestly made a huge improvement in my lifts. I am 5'5 150 lbs and the belt fits perfectly on my hips and ribs. Which was causing issues when the belt would be too big. I got a small so i wouldn't have too much tail left to tuck in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks good and feels great on I'm soon to be 69 years old female and start lifting weights last October 2018. I could barely lift the 35lb bar when I started. I bought this belt as a security blanket for when I do deadlifts and sumo deadlifts. Since I've had it I have the confidence to lift heavier 145 lbs. My goal is 200 lbs by the end of this year.
