Finally received the FM-6 which was ordered on 5/27/24 and delivered on 9/4. I had already had my Charcoal RM6 rack which was purchased just a few months before pulling the trigger on the FM-6. I was a little disappointed that I spent much more buying them separately, but theres not much to do about that. The wait for the FM-6 was difficult, but understandable as Rogue was working out some final touches to its packaging and shipments. They remained communicative with their updates throughout the process and always tried to answer any questions I had regarding my order. The shipment arrived via freight on 2 large pallets and a wooden crate for the weight stacks. Very well packaged and no damage. Every box was well thought out and labeled. I was not expecting so many boxes for the add-on, but everything was so well done that it was not a surprise. The install took some time as I did it all solo. It took me about 10-12 hours over the course of 3 or so days. I probably could have done it quicker if I had more room and laid everything out while keeping the labels next to each part. Not to mention if I had an extra hand for the install, I probably could have cut the time down by half. I spent a lot of time trying to locate a few parts that I would have expected to be in certain boxes, but they ended up in others that I had yet to open thinking they would be last to go on. Rogue even had all the hardware connected to a small cross member/upright, so they weren’t just loose in a cardboard box. The instructions were very illustrative and detailed, plus having the assembly video was super helpful. I used both as I went through the install process to ensure I was doing everything the way it was intended. I was super intimidated and nervous on doing the cable install, as I was concerned I would mess something up, but it actually turned out to be super simple. I struggled a little with the shroud installation, but that was partly my fault by not knowing which shroud was which. The weight stack shroud with the Rogue logo was by far the most concerning/difficult because there’s not much room to maneuver the shroud without heavily scratching the beautiful black powder coat. I received some recommendations from other FM6 adopters to drop the lower pulleys to provide more space and that certainly helped. I was able to get the shrouds in with minimal scratching. Overall, the FM-6 is phenomenal and Rogue built. It’s heavy duty and flawless. Such a smooth machine with so many exercise options! I’m super happy to have gone with Rogue over other Functional trainer options. Rogue did such a great job and I highly recommend it. Rogue FTW.

I wanted to wait a little bit before I posted a review. I received my Twin Functional Trainer Add-on a 2.5 weeks ago. The packaging of the equipment was incredible although you will have ALOT of cardboard to break down. This is definitely a 2 person assembly! I wanted to attempt it by myself but you definitely should not...atleast until you get to Step 17 in the manual. Probably still best to have that second set of hands. The instructions were mostly clear although there were a couple of situations where it was hard to understand, which made the video assembly a good supplement. Despite both of those, I still made a couple of mistakes that I had to go back to redo. Overall though this has been an awesome addition / expansion to my home gym setup. Be warned though - now that I have this setup I do not think I could go back to not having it. The pulley's are really smooth and have tried out a variety of different movements & attachments. I really really like this setup! The product is the typical overbuilt quality that you basically have come to expect from Rogue and I mean that in a good way. A couple of things worth pointing out. I had my Bolt-on pull up bar set up in the upper middle of my squat rack because I wanted to have that little bit extra height clearance. By doing so, you cannot put the Top Cable Cover Rails on because the bolt-on pull up bar bolts protrude too far out. The bolts don't touch the cable so I just left the covers off. It would honestly require a lot of additional work to relocate my bolt-on pull-up bar. Also and maybe this if more obvious but with the cables running alongside the rack, it will limit you on the kinds of attachments or storage things you can attach to your rack. I ended up buying a gun rack mount to mount my barbells instead of the the bolt-on solution to the rack. Overall though I love my setup and these considerations I mentioned above are by no means deal breakers or even really bothers just something worth noting.

This was everything I was hoping for and more. It truly is overbuilt and rivals any commercial machine I have been on. It’s almost too overbuilt in which I wish the trolleys were a little lighter. There is no need for them to be as beefy as they are but I am really trying to find something wrong at this point. If you have a 90inch version you might not get a full stretch on lat pulldown. I know my 100inch I do get a full stretch but it’s very close. Only thing I would improve is maybe find a pop pin or a small trolly on the low row to rise up somehow to be flush with a bench so you could use a bench for a seated low row off the floor. But again I’m really knit picking here. I own a lot of rogue equipment and this is by far the nicest gym equipment piece I own. It’s not even close.

Well worth the wait! Having limited space in my gym I was in desperate need of a nice functional trainer and I did not have a place to put one in so I was very happy to see the twin stack made available. This unit is a great value for the price, the build quality is exactly what I expected out of Rogue, commercial grade and built for the long haul. The cable movements are smooth with the aluminum rollers, the adjustments on the fly attachments are also very easy to dial in, assembly will take a bit of time but the instructions and the video are great and very well thought out. If you are in the market for a functional trainer this is the way to go, there is absolutely no reason to buy from the other 3 letter guys when you can support American made goods for the same price, keep up the good work Rogue!
