Schwinn Airdyne Pro

Schwinn has been manufacturing quality bikes for over a century, and in the fitness world, they’ve been a leading innovator in air resistance technology. With the Airdyne AD Pro, Schwinn has developed its most complete all-purpose stationary bike to date—with a perimeter-weighted flywheel design, powerful solid steel cranks, and doubled-coated steel body construction. Multi-position handles allow the rider to use a vertical or horizontal grip, redesigned foot platforms reduce slip and improve push-off, and a larger, padded seat offers optimal comfort. The universal rail and clamp system even lets users swap in their own customized seats if they choose.

Not all fitness bikes are built the same. The Schwinn Airdyne AD Pro is uniquely designed to increase resistance to match the force you’re exerting, and its drive belt system is not only durable and up to the task, but far quieter than most air bikes on the market. No matter your goals or the pace you want to set, the bike allows you to establish a program that works for you, tracking watts, time, calories burned, distance, and more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The New BIG DOG in Wind Bikes Let me just preface this with saying I have I have used both, and floored both at length. I have not met one person when they are used side by side, or even from my own experience, that would take an Assault over the AD Pro. The AD Pro has them beat. Yeah it's $200 more but believe me it isn't for nothing. The AD pro has a higher Force Curve because the blades on the wheel are catching more drag -- Look at the size of their blades. It has bearings at critical points, reinforced tubing and cranks, and is belt-driven so no metal on metal contact. I used to be all about the Assault, I have even taken it on the news etc. I will tell you hands down the AD Pro is better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow - Love My New Airdyne Pro Just finished my first workout for time on my brand new Airdyne Pro. Figured 10 minutes would be a good start. I am in good shape but it absolutely kicked my butt. The pumping of my legs was one thing but when combined with the push & pull of the arms, thereby engaging chest, back, and lats, I was thrashed. I burned approximately 187 calories. Amazing. The bike is solid and is made out of quality materials. Assembly was simple. She runs smoothly. Very low impact on the body. It does get a little windy in a cool garage. I will probably have to buy the air diverter for winter rides (no heating in my garage). Overall, thrilled with the purchase. Can't wait to incorporate the Airdyne into a regular cardio routine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Different heights no problem Considering this equipment was based on use of a male 250 6’2”- female 115 5’4” , grip handle options were the main reason of selection and has been a perk for comfort - added reach and higher based on my leg length and shorter reach lower hand position for shorty - took about 45min to put together from time I took the knife to the box to completion- I used lock tight on every bolt installed. The seat seems to have some wiggle in the height post side to side - but that could be for the better - could easily somehow - the box came majorly damaged and was suprised to see no damage to the product - looking forward to future cardio , with the belt driven it’s really quite versus the chains I’ve heard from other products (low maintenance) - good luck and stay fit

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Performer I purchased this bike from Rogue in early January. Shipping was fast and free. I've been using this bike, multiple times a week, since and am very pleased with it's performance. I am 6'3" and 230 pounds and this bike has handled the task without any signs of surrender. The bike is comfortable and operates smoothly. The computer has many workout options and is easy to use. My wife uses the bike as well and has been very happy with it also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike! Awesome bike. Quality is excellent. Don’t buy the air diverter. It’s a complete waste of money. Just use some duct tape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Killer I bought this bike after talking to a friend about this of the assault bike. I considered myself to be in pretty good cardio shape. This made me feel like I've never breathed heavy in my life. Maybe I'm out of shape. I see people hitting over 80 calories on the assault in a minute. Maybe I need to calibrate mine but I'm nowhere near that on my AD pro. Best interval training I've done has been on this. We have a rower, skierg and this and this is the most used piece of equipment by my wife hands down. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Three workouts so far... I can't vouch for durability as I've only just started using it this week. However as someone that does a mixture of weight training, running, concept 2 and Watt biking. I can vouch for this as an excellent workout product. You can tick over at around 55 rpm for the longer traditional cardio session (20-40 mins) or go all out and be gasping like a fish in 20-30 seconds. The calories reported by the machine seem accurate when compared to my running calculations, the C2 and the watt bike. So if the assault bike is drastically different as mentioned in another review then it's likely that it's that product that is misreporting. The fan is the only noise this makes as the belt is drive is soundless compared to the old airdyne chain drives. Console is good and very clear however I would have preferred more mechanical buttons on the interface. Small thing but would have been nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Belt drive is smooth! Putting in together is easy.. took about 30 minutes by myself. It was very well packaged(no damage). Once I put it together, I completed a workout and couldn’t believe how smooth it is. The handles feel very solid and I really like the multi grip. I needed a cardio machine in my home gym and this fit the bill. This is a machine you can’t out grow. I highly recommend going with a belt drive either this bike or the Rogue Echo (which was sold out when I purchased this one). I would however recommend a wind shield if you don’t want it blowing in your face.
