do not buy
I bought 2 cables and the clamp just wont get tight enough. I had to buy a second cable because I tried to crimp the clamp on the first one after it flew off during class and I had it as tight as possible. Why would Rogue not send a key? This is a bad design.

Been using these cables exclusively for 9 years
After reading some of the reviews, I had to add my two cents. First of all, I am not a professional cross fitter. I’m 52 years old and I’ve been doing it consistently for 10 years. When I originally bought my SR jump rope, it came with the proper hex wrench to fit the small hex screw. I’ve always just kept it in my gym bag along with a few extra cables. The cables have very good durability, the only issues I ever have is where they insert into the handle over time will wear on the cable which will eventually release a couple stray strands of wire. At that time I replace it. I have never had any problems with the cable coming out of the handle when properly fastened. The only thing I recommend is after using it the first time retighten the screws.

Tried to trim it, screwed up the cable.
Tried to trim it, screwed up the cable. It was too long, and when I tried to cut it with a cutting tool, it would not cut and spread the cable apart :-(

Great rope. Poor lock.
Great rope. Fast. Poor locking mechanism. Hard to get off, hard to tighten, flew off in the first use.

Great Rope, with some problems
The rope itself is fantastic! Consistent, plenty of speed and smooth as butter. Hex key was a sumbitch finding but once you get it, you got it. Cable will split if you cut it with subpar pliers. Use sharp cutters and you’ll be fine.

Sucks
1. You’re going to need to buy a tiny Allen key to fit the scree. 2. The cable will split apart when you try to trim it. 3. The screw will not stay put and the cable will fly off the handle. Highly recommend buying a different cable.

You need the smallest Allen wrench ever
Bought this as replacement for the SR1…didn’t read the fine print about needing the smallest Allen wrench in the world…Not found in any typical Allen set. I was able to use the collar and Philips head screw from the old cable. Rogue, you couldn’t use a standard size?

Can't find a hex wrench to fit
I bought the hex wrench size recommend and it still doesn't fit.! This results in an absolutely useless cable. No way to keep it from flying off the handle. Come on Rogue! Listen to your costumers!!!
