As an alternative to traditional, often stiff and uncomfortable leather lifting belts, the Spud, Inc. 2-Ply Deadlift Belt is made from a soft, flexible nylon webbing, offering ample support and durability with a bit more give and a bit less digging into the hips and stomach at the bottom of the deadlift. The 2-Ply Deadlift Belt is manufactured with pride in the USA and optimized for versatility. Use the Fit Guide below to determine your belt size.

Sizing recommendations:

To find the proper belt size please measure the area on your body where the belt will be worn. On most people, this will be the belly area at your belly button. A waist measurement will not give you an accurate size for the belt. Once you have found your measurement subtract 2" from that number to get your belt size. For example, if your measurement at your belly button is 36" you would subtract 2" to come up with 34". Your belt size would be a medium.

Spud belt love it!
Bought this after seeing multiple world class lifters using it and I was extremely satisfied! Fit as described and delivered as promised.

Work great for 4 months
I used this belt for squats, deadlifts, press and bench. It work great for 4 months, but then then the hook and loop (Velcro) became unreliable. I had a 32" waist and found the small too small. I sent it back for a medium which fit well. I wish it lasted longer. I will buy a traditional leather belt now.

Great...untill it wasn't
This is follow up to my previous review. Unfortunately this belt did not stand the test of time. It's a good product and very comfortable but the hook and loop (Velcro) is nearly useless after about 3 months of use. The belt is slipping during heavy lifts. Time to get a real belt.

Great addition to your bag!
Bought this belt as an addition to my gym bag. I already have the Rogue Ohio Lifting Belt which I absolutely love for squats and cleans but I needed something a little quicker to get in and out of and wanted to try this for deadlifts and heavy WOD days. I’ve been using it now for about 2 months and have zero performance complaints. Does exactly what it says it will. It is significantly thinner and more flexible than what I’m used to but I expected that. It cinches down quite nicely and provides good support. Though I still prefer my Ohio belt for clean and squats I have done both with this belt as well and it performed respectfully—I just prefer the added support of the Ohio belt when I go heavy. I leave this belt at my gym and it gets used all the time and have heard no complaints. It is quick to adjust, tightens and supports well, and is thin enough to loosen and leave on if you’re doing a WOD but don’t need the support for all the movements. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 I have are simply because of the condition I received it in. When it arrived the logo patch was sewn only on 3 sides and there was a large black marker stain on the white portion of the belt in the rear. Both issues do not affect functionality but I have caught the patch a few times moving around or hanging it up and I have no idea why there’s a giant marker stain on it. Not a huge deal as I use my equipment and no doubt will mark it up myself, but when I buy something new I don’t expect to receive a blemished model. Love Rogue and will keep using, just not quite the high standard I’m used to from them.

Not just for deadlifts!
Great all around belt! I use it for all the big lifts and love to comfort. No digging in! The size instructions are a bit off. I measured for an XL but ended up swapping it for a Large. If you are at the low end of the size range, consider sizing down.

Nice belt but sizing instructions are inaccurate
As usual, Spud makes nice (albeit pricey) stuff. I used the measuring instructions and ordered an extra large belt. I should have ordered a large. If I lose two pounds I will not be able to get the belt tight enough.

Great belt for purpose
I bought this belt specifically for deadlifts, bent-over rows, and seated low cable rows. I have the Rogue Ohio belt for squats, which is an AWESOME belt for squats, but it was too uncomfortable for me for the other lifts mentioned. This new belt filled the bill perfectly. The Velcro closure allows for fine-tuning the fit and tension, which helps when going from standing pulls to seated pulls. And the fabric construction and rounded fabric edges don't dig into my ribs or iliac crests like the Ohio belt does when doing these lifts. I measure 37" across the midsection (strange, because I wear 32" waist pants and I'm 14% BF) so the Large belt fit perfectly, with only about 2" of overlap of the belt ends.

Great support, quick and easy to adjust
This belt provides all the support you need. Just for reference, I have measured 32" around my naval, subtracted 2" and got 30 so I ordered the M belt, wish I would have ordered the S because I have it all the way cranked down and I need it tighter, I am now going to order the S because I love the belt, but I would just recommend going with the smaller size if you are even close to the borderline
