ROGUE 45LB OHIO POWER BAR - AGGRO

The AGGRO™ variations of our 45LB Ohio Power Bar are designed for lifters who want an even more aggressive knurl than the standard model. There are two options to choose from (2x AGGRO and 3x AGGRO), each utilizing advanced precision tooling to re-create the geometry of the original knurl pattern with added depth and more prominent peaks:

*WARNING: The 3x AGGRO is our most aggressive knurl to date, and one of the sharpest and least forgiving on the market. Anyone unsure of their tolerance level should avoid this option. Returns will NOT be accepted on the basis of any pain or discomfort caused by the knurling itself.

Both AGGRO Power Bars are manufactured in Columbus, Ohio, utilizing the same steel we developed for the world famous Elephant Bar, and featuring the same 200,000 PSI tensile strength shaft as the standard Ohio Power Bar. The design also includes quality bronze bushings, 16.25” of loadable sleeve length, and Cerakote branding on each side of the center knurl. By using stainless steel for the shaft and sleeves, we’re able to give the customer the true, uncompromised feel of the extra aggressive knurl, while also adding the benefits of superior oxidation resistance.

A Note on Bar Cleaning: Rogue recommends using a synthetic bristle brush, NOT a steel brush, to clean a stainless steel shaft. Using steel on stainless steel can contaminate the stainless steel and cause rusting. See more tips here: Bar Care & Maintenance.

AGGRO KNURLING

With these AGGRO variations, we’ve been able to increase the depth and coarseness of the Ohio Power Bar knurling without sacrificing the knurl geometry that we are known for. Our tooling has been specially designed so that we can have an extremely repeatable knurl with a more aggressive feel that looks as good as it grips. Available in your choice of two designs: 2x AGGRO or 3x AGGRO. Be Advised: The 3x is NOT intended for anyone unsure about their preferences or pain threshold; be sure to reference the comparison photos to get a sense of the extreme difference in the knurl of these bars vs. the standard version. (All bars include a center knurl).

2

STAINLESS STEEL

No finish offers better oxidation resistance than stainless steel. By leaving the shaft and sleeves of the AGGRO bars uncoated, we’re also able to give the athlete the true feel of the extra aggressive knurl. As noted, we recommend using a synthetic bristle brush, NOT a steel brush, to clean a stainless steel shaft.

3

200,000 PSI TENSILE STRENGTH

The AGGRO Ohio Power Bar’s 29MM diameter stainless steel shaft has a tensile strength of 200,000 PSI, delivering superior rigidity and virtually zero whip/flex. Machined and assembled in Columbus, Ohio, the bar also features a snap-ring design and quality bronze bushings for a smooth, consistent feel.

4

CERAKOTE BRANDING

We’ve included Cerakote branding on each side of the center knurl in a unique “photonegative” stencil style, with black Cerakote bringing out designs from the stainless steel. The Rogue logo is featured on one side, while the other introduces the AGGRO Monster, with his number of teeth indicating the aggressiveness of the knurl (2 teeth for 2x, 3 teeth for 3x).

LIFETIME WARRANTY

The quality construction of the AGGRO Ohio Power Bar is backed by Rogue’s Lifetime Warranty against bending. This is a barbell equipped for high intensity, everyday use. Please Note: The warranty does not cover damage due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user, i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage. Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Returns will NOT be accepted on the basis of an AGGRO bar’s knurling feeling more aggressive than the customer expected.

F Scale™

The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. Bars that have been treated with Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) are designated by having an R in their F Rating™. For more information on F Scale™ click here.

Oxidation Rate

The resistance of a barbell to oxidation depends on the type of steel and the coating. Barbells at the lower end of the spectrum will require more care and maintenance to preserve their appearance than barbells at the upper end of the spectrum.

*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.

2X Aggro Bar Review
I've had a home gym that's grown and evolved over the last ten years and I can say that this bar is the best investment I've made in my home gym journey so far. I own a variety of bars, but since buying this one about five months ago, I pretty much use it for 90% of my workouts, three to five times a week. If my gym was on fire and I only had time to grab one piece of equipment, I would grab this bar. The Knurling: The appeal of this bar is obviously the aggressive knurling. If you're looking for a bar that bites into your skin, then this bar delivers! Before buying this, I was mostly using a barbell with passive knurling, so it took about four or five workouts to get used to the sharper knurling of the Aggro Bar. The first few workouts, it was uncomfortable. Not painful, per say, but my palms were sore after using it for the first few days. After about a week of consistent use, it started to feel great. A few words that come to mind when I grab it would be grippy and coarse. When you grab a handful of the bar, you can feel the volcano knurl digging into your palms securely. Even if you choose not to use chalk, it's still perfectly clingy and gives you a stronger grip when pulling. Within a week of its arrival, I was pushing new PRs on my squat, deadlift, and bench. I know the knurling doesn’t make me stronger, but I felt like the confidence the bar gives me allows me to push myself further. Why you should buy this over other power bars: For the last several years I’ve used general-purpose bars, but in the last 12 months, I got bit by the powerlifting bug, following strength focused programs and pushing my maxes on squats, bench, deadlifts, and overhead presses. Around seven months ago, I knew I wanted a Power Bar with aggressive knurling to help me continue to make progress and I was willing to invest in the right equipment for it. The biggest concern I had was that I didn't want to feel like I was throwing away $300 to $500 on a bar I may be disappointed in and end up never using. I sat on the fence for about a month and did a lot of research reading reviews and watching YouTube videos, and it came down to the 2X Aggro Bar and two other bars from two other companies. There really weren’t that many reviews for the Aggro Bars at the time, but the reason I chose it was because I knew my other Rogue purchases were quality products and with Rogue, you get what you pay for. Yes, the 2X Aggro Bar was more expensive than the other two bars, but I knew what I wanted, and I knew I'd be paying for a product that was going to deliver a solid powerlifting bar with aggressive knurling and no buyer’s remorse. This purchase will last longer, it will feel great in your hands and, if used consistently, can help you to reach your next level of performance. Also, and I've said this before in my other reviews and this is what I tell my wife when she says I don't need another bar: the real investment is in your health. If this bar makes you excited to work out and the thought of using it drives you to get up at 0430 on a cold rainy Monday morning and get in an hour of heavy lifting before starting the rest of your week, then it’s worth the investment. TLDR: If you're looking for a solid power bar with aggressive knurling that will stick to your grip and build up the callouses on your palms, you will not be disappointed in this bar.

Knurl type is mot accurate
I bought the aggro x3 bar because the pictures show mountain knurl, but it was actually volcano knurl. So I was fairly disappointed.

AGGRESSIVE Bar
I got the 2x Aggro bar, which is an excellent bar for a MAN. It's perfect for me because I have tough hands, like a man. I don't recommend this is you're a soft baby, and unlike me you don't have a massively long, hard, and heavy... bar. But for me this is perfect, because again, I'm a man with really tough hands from all the manual labor us men do. If you're a little weakling and pull sumo, then this bar won't work for you because the sharp knurling will scrape your shins up, which I'd totally be fine with since I'm a MAN and I love pain, but also I'd never pull sumo because real men know your legs need to be between your arms. Did I mention I was a man? Again, this bar is super sharp and only suitable for the manliest of men. Oh, also, my girlfriend really likes this bar too. Update: I've decided I pull better with sumo deadlift. Got a pink cerakote Ohio bar for that.

Love Powerlifting with This Bar
This is the Aggro #2. I dislike chalk and was looking for a bar with more aggressive knurling. Bought this one and am happy I did. I really feel connected to the bar during bench, deadlifts, and back squats. Does it hurt? No, but my hands are calloused from years of military training and CrossFit. So, it's probably not the bar for a beginner. But if you want a firmer grasp on a bar, I think you would like this one. I am also a big fan of stainless steel.

Amazing feel
I bought these two bars ,the power bar in 3 agro and the rackable curl bar in cerakote and they are simply amazing. The feel on the power bar is exactly what I like. Bershly sharp and deep knurl. I do not use chalk because it can damage your bars so this is a perfect fix. Thanks

As Sharp As They Come - Aggro 3x
This bar is likely the sharpest bar on the market. It's exactly what I was looking for! Be warned, it will chew up your hand. Shown is a pic of the knurling and my hand about a minute after my first set of deadlifts. I usually have grip issues, but I could overhand grip my deadlifts without grip issues since the knurling really digs in. The overall quality of the bar is outstanding in every way, but there are a few things to look out for. Make sure you really give it a good wiping with a rag and really scrub the knurling with a nylon brush before use. My bar did come with a good amount of metal flakes that needed to be brushed off. It's also difficult to get all of the oil that is ships with off of the knurling with a rag since it's so sharp. In subsequent workouts, I've slowly gotten the oil out, so it really isn't a big deal. TLDR: Amazing bar with the sharpest knurling I've ever seen, make sure to give the knurling a good scrub with a nylon brush before using it. Same Rogue quality that one would expect with any barbell they make.

2XAggro bar. Rawr.
Just wow. So, SO perfect. Been using a B&R bar for the last couple of years, and found myself wanting something more aggressive... THIS is more agressive! Also. The little monster face is hilarious! Rogue definitely should have put it on the sleeve end caps!
