Rogue Westside Power Bar 2.0

Co-developed with powerlifting legend and strength coach Louie Simmons, Rogue’s redesigned Westside Power Bar is now fully machined and assembled in Columbus, Ohio—just down the road from Simmons’ renowned Westside Barbell training facility.

The Westside Power Bar 2.0 features a 29MM diameter, 205K PSI tensile strength shaft with single powerlifting knurl marks and a center knurl. The updated knurl pattern was chosen specifically to Louie’s standards, and is deep and coarse without being sharp or abrasive. The bar also features a durable snap-ring design, bronze bushings, and a black zinc coating on both the shaft and sleeves.

  • Lifetime Warranty against bending*

*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.

F Scale™
The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. Bars that have been treated with Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) are designated by having an R in their F Rating™. For more information on F Scale™ click here.

Oxidation Rate
The resistance of a barbell to oxidation depends on the type of steel and the coating. Barbells at the lower end of the spectrum will require more care and maintenance to preserve their appearance than barbells at the upper end of the spectrum.

What Sets the Westside Power Bar Apart:

  • 1Developed with Louie Simmons

We worked directly with legendary powerlifter, strength coach, and Westside Barbell founder Louie Simmons to fine-tune this bar into one worthy of both the Rogue and Westside names. Every element of Version 2.0, from the knurling to the finish to the endcaps, was held to a champion’s standard. We believe this bar ranks with some of the best power bars ever made, but the words “Louie Simmons Approved” say more than we ever could.

  • 2205,000 PSI Steel

The Westside Power Bar’s 29mm diameter steel shaft now has a tensile strength of 205,000 PSI, delivering superior rigidity and virtually zero whip/flex. Machined and assembled in Columbus, Ohio, the bar also features a snap-ring design and quality bronze bushings for a smooth, consistent feel. Includes a lifetime warranty against bending.*

  • 3Aggressive Knurl

We updated the knurl pattern for Version 2.0 of the Westside Power Bar, turning again to Louie Simmons to test and refine an aggressive, precision powerlifting knurl—deep and coarse without being uncomfortably sharp or abrasive. A center knurl is also included for added “stick” to the back during squats.

  • 4Use It With These Other Rogue Products

Westside Power Bar owners can use the bar in conjunction with a broad range of other top caliber Rogue powerlifting products, from the Westside Bench and R-3 Power Rack to deadlift bar jacks, Wagon Wheel plates, and Calibrated Steel Plates.

  • 5Black Zinc Finish

The Westside Power Bar has a distinct look, featuring a Black Zinc coating on the shaft and sleeves, plus new green endcaps with the Rogue and Westside logos. Black Zinc has one of the lowest oxidation rates of any barbell finish, meaning it requires less upkeep and will look like new over the long haul, now matter how much abuse you put it through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Barbell I purchased this barbell a couple of weeks ago and I can say it is 100% quality all the way. I own the Rogue Ohio bar as well, but wanted to get a bar more suited for powerlifting. The knurling on this barbell is no joke, especially if you deadlift with a hook grip. I have used this barbell for all my compound lifts with a combination of bumper and metal plates. The bar has very little flex even with over 400lbs loaded on it. I am very happy with my purchase, if you are looking for a powerlifting barbell from Rogue I highly recommend this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Powerlifting This bar is meant to lift heavy...a**...weight and that’s it. Stiff bar that makes deadlifting easy and doesn’t bounce much when squatting. The knurling on this is insane though! The knurls are very aggressive the bar basically sticks to your hands making chalk and straps pretty unnecessary. If you’re looking to do any CrossFit type stuff get a different bar this one will saw your hands in half before you finish a WOD.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rogue Westside Power Bar 2.0 I recieved the rogue westside power bar 2.0 today and i have to say the bar is good qaulity like you would expect from rogue. I initially wanted to purchase the ohio power bar 20kg for competition training as it is IPF approved but it was out of stock when i went to purchase, so i bit the bullet and went for the westside bar. I used it today and worked up to top sets of 315 bench press and have no complaints. If you are looking for a good bench, sqaut, deadlift bar. This bar is for you. Would definently recomment this product and will be purchasing more rogue fitness products in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Bar Kicks All Kinds of Butt Had the Westside Power Bar 2.0 for a few days now and this bar is Rockin. The knurling is on a whole nother level and for me the bar just seems fatter in my hands like it's 30mm. I'm married to the bar now and use it for my rack work or when I'm bustin out complexes... I just love the feel and the stiffness. My Texas Power Bar is now my Deadlift Bar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bar but... This bar, along with the Ohio power bar has great knurl and is extremely solid. It's a bad choice when used with a Rougue 3x3 rack. Bar needs more space between the sleeves. Even the slightest off center unrack puts the plates very close to the safety arms or safety straps. Works great with the 2x3 racks and benches and is a great value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good bar for the westside fan This is an Ohio power bar with black coated sleeves and a green bushing. The bronze bushing on the Ohio bar spins better and the silver sleeves Wil hold up much better long term. The black finish chipped after the first use. Tough to spend the extra 50 over the Ohio power bar.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just buy an ohio power bar This is a great bar but when i purchased it i also bought an ohp(ohio power bar) and they are identical. plus the black zinc, comes off on the collars during first use. its nice to keep but i would just buy the ohp if i did it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stout Bar This bar is a hoss. It's a thick, stout dedicated power lifting bar. I've only put 405 lbs on it, and it felt rock solid with no noticeable deflection. Knurling is definitely aggressive, and not suited for high rep work (that's not what this bar is for, but I had to try it out on a deadlift WOD....shaved off a few callouses). Center knurling works great and is fairly aggressive as well. All in all a well executed and good looking bar that should last a couple of lifetimes.
