Product Description

The Rogue Ohio Deadlift Bar is one of our finest, precision-engineered power bars to date, generating a higher amount of flex ideal for deadlifting. Machined and assembled in Columbus, Ohio, the ODB features a 190,000 PSI shaft with a comparatively thin diameter (27MM) and longer overall length (90.50" is just within most powerlifting federation standards). This combination creates a bar that’s both easier to grip and designed for increased whip/flex when pulling. For many power lifters, that greater flex means being able to pull from a higher point before the plates break off the floor, potentially increasing the amount of weight that can be lifted in the process.

Rogue Ohio Deadlift Bar - Bare Steel

Like all Rogue bushing bars, the Ohio Deadlift Bar includes sleeves with a quality snap ring constructionfar superior to the cheaply produced bolt-and-pin style sleeves of some other brands. The powerlifting knurl marks on this bar are a bit deeper / more aggressive than our Ohio Power Bar, but machined in the same pattern. There is no center knurl.

F Scale™

The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. Bars that have been treated with Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) are designated by having an R in their F Rating™. For more information on F Scale™ click here.

Oxidation Rate

The resistance of a barbell to oxidation depends on the type of steel and the coating. Barbells at the lower end of the spectrum will require more care and maintenance to preserve their appearance than barbells at the upper end of the spectrum.

Please Note: Like any fine piece of machined steel, a bare steel barbell will require some upkeep. Occasionally brushing the bar down with 3-in-1 oil or WD-40 will create a beautiful patina look. This is how bars were made for decades and it really does produce an unmatched feel.

*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.

Classic case of not knowing what you're missing
This bar is so superior to the bar i have i was shocked how much better something like a barbell could be. From the clean spin of the bearings to the super grippy knurling this bar just screams quality and gives you a confidence in your lifts that i have not previously known. I just this bar for simple Olympic lifts, rows and, of course, deadlifts. I have yet to have an issue with gripping this bar outside of my own lack of grip strength. The petina is starting to develop and i can't really say much about it because it's only developed around where it front racks and where i grip it so can't say much about it but i hope it looks nice and weathered with some stand out character

exceptional bar
I bought one during the height of the pandemic to add to our arsenal of deadlift bars to the gym. The team loved it so, I got another. We are very happy with these bars.

Fantastic bar
I've had the opportunity to use this for a couple of months now, and I'm super happy with it. The knurling is fantastic. That, coupled with the slightly smaller bar diameter, has been really helpful compared to the Ohio bar I was using previously. The only complaint that I have is that it is LOUD compared to my other bars. There may be a reason, but I'm not sure. Whether it's touch and go's or dropping the bar, expect some noise. It's well worth the tradeoff though.

If it ain't on a rogue bar does it even count
The bar came in and was really well packaged, i am very impressed with the quality. As to be expected with a rogue bar its exceptional. Just wish they had more discounts as the bank account cant lift as much as the bar can.

Purpose Built Beautifully
This is so much nicer than a normal Power Bar for deadlifting. The Knurling is just aggressive enough and in the right spots, and the diameter of the bar really helps get a good purchase on the bar. If you are pulling 4 plates or more you will also notice the extra whip in this bar, and once you get used to it you’ll love it.

Great whip and knurling
I bought this bar over a month ago. Whip - The bar has great whip when breaking from the ground, making deadlifts feel great. Knurl - The knurling is sharp but not too sharp. It is a volcano pattern, where the pointy part of the mountain is cut off. It is probably the same knurl as the ohio power bar if I had to guess. It feels very secure in your hand but isn't harsh. The thinness of the bar (27mm) makes it easier to grip and makes it whippier as well. Oxidation - I have had the bar for over a month now and have not had any oxidation in my basement. My basement is unfinished. I am sure this will be different from setting to setting. I brush and wipe the bar down with a clean towel after use.
