Spud Inc Belt Squat Belt

$100.00 CAD

Train your lower body without placing a heavy load on your spine.

The Belt Squat Belt is designed for maximal comfort on your hips while allowing you to use heavy weight to train your legs. This belt is great for athletes to use in season to train legs without taxing the entire body. The belt squat belt is also a great way for athletes with back pain to squat without the axial loading that a bar places on the spine (causing back pain to worsen). Belt squats are a great way to take a break from the typical squat routine and still hit your legs hard.

Can be used with any type of loading:

  • belt squat machine
  • loading kettlebells, regular weights, dumbbells and other odd weights via chain

  • Length: approximately 57"
  • Width: 5.5"

Rated 3 out of 5 by from first impressions: bomb proof, might stain clothes The belt looks like it’s pretty BOMB PROOF and will do the job. after reading a few reviews about the dye issue I thought it’d be a good idea to check it out for myself, and low and behold I’m glad I did. I soaked it with a garden hose and wiped it with a paper towel and the white paper towel came back pretty dark. CAUTION: try to get off as much dye before it gets on your clothes during a sweaty workout. Guys/gals that sweat a lot (like me) will probably have to wrap the belt in a towel to avoid ruining awesome Rogue gym clothes. For a product that costs this much this is a RIDICULOUS problem. After some testing I’ll let you know how belt performs. Hope this was helpful

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weak Point & Pain Free Movements If you're looking to build up weaknesses in your lower body, this is the accessory for you. When you use this piece of equipment you are only limited by the weakest point in your lower body. Weak hips, quads, glutes, or hamstrings? This will target which ever body part is the weakest. That's if done right of course. When it comes to pain free movement to build the lower body, you can't get any better. This will traction your lower back. It will also take pressure away from your knees. It doesn't pay to train through injury. This will help supplement your training when injured like no other piece of equipment.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pretty Terrible for Everything I don't know how they managed to design a belt that's uncomfortable for every single exercise. Getting the belt so the thick part is under the straps (so the weight isn't digging into your thighs) is stupid hard and it always moves. The thick part of the belt LOVES to just go up (which makes sense; your hips are holding it while these flimsy straps let the weight sag). Does it work for weighted pullups? No because it slides everywhere Does it work for pull thrus? Meh... not really, too thick I guess if you have a belt squat machine... sure... but this thing literally has no other purpose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great piece of equipment Belt squatting is a great way to train the legs without taxing the lower back. If you row a lot, crossfit (lots of hip opening movements - back strain), etc, this is a great way to get extra leg work.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Should also include chain You’ll have to buy a chain along with it to use with free weights. For the price it should have came with one. it does seem very high quality and fits comfortably

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works well does what it is supposed to do. Used with a loading pin from IronMind, standing on two benches holding on to a power rack. Zero complaints, great quad pump and a very sweaty shirt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tool, good quality, but... A fantastic tool for belt squats, hip stretches and even dips. Quality is really what you would expect in terms of construction and materials. However, the dye on the belt is cheap and the belt color will fade after even one use. Thats not necessarily a big deal, but the color bleeds on your clothes which is bad when it happens to your clients... For the price they should really improve the coloring process or just not put any colors on the belt.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dye issue I was surprised when the black dye of the belt rubbed off all over our training clothing?? I'm told the yellow belt does the same and apparently it's normal? Very weird?? Good quality other than that but surely the dye issue needs sorting on a belt that costs this much? I would still recommended this belt as it's the only one out there that does the job properly when belt squatting!
