Rogue Adjustable Monolift – Monster Lite

The Rogue Adjustable Monolift attachment is a great cost-efficient alternative to expensive, full-scale monolift units, giving athletes a way to perform heavy-weight squats and other lifts without having to walk the bar out from the rack.

Sold in pairs, this version of the Monolift system is designed for use with 3x3" Monster Lite racks and rigs, but can also be easily retro-fitted for the 2x3" Infinity Series using an optional adapter kit.* Once set up, the Monolift's redesigned, J-Cup-style pin system allows for easier height adjustments and quicker transfers from one athlete to the next. We’ve also reduced the overall size of the brackets and added new UHMW plastic liners to better protect the bar’s knurl and finish.

Each Adjustable Monolift set includes a pair of rack-mounted brackets with 0.75" thick steel jaw hooks. These hooks are built with special counterweight handles at the top, so when you lift a barbell off the Monolift, the hooks will swing several inches back toward the rack and stay there. This clears up enough extra space to go straight into your workout, and also enables safe re-racking, as the slanted angle of the unloaded hooks makes it easy to guide the bar in, swinging the Monolift back into its original position. A pair of 0.625" hitch pins is also included in every order to lock the unit into place and prevent any unwanted swinging out.

Height adjustments can be made in increments as small as 1", and with Rogue’s unique design—featuring a “backstop” bolt above each primary hook bolt—the Monolift cannot move further away from the rack while the user is setting up. This feature is not found on comparable attachments on the market.

Please Note: While the Rogue Monolift Attachment can be safe for solo use, it’s always recommended to have spotters available for heavier lifts. Rogue also highly recommends mounting the Monolift to a rack or rig that’s securely fastened to the floor and/or wall.

*Infinity Series Retro-Fit Kit: Owners of an Infinity rig or rack can add this kit to their order via the column on the right. It includes 4 UHMW plastic pieces and 8 screws to secure the plastic to the clasp of each unit.

Rogue Adjustable Monolift - Monster Lite is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for benching alone Since I bench alone--and I don't have the luxury of getting a lift off--this allows me to get set up perfectly without the typical ordeal of unracking from a j-cup. Helps alleviate the strain on my 53-year-old shoulders. Like all Rogue products, the built quality is absolutely fantastic. These should last a lifetime, even with heavy squats. IMPORTANT TIP: to control the speed and travel of its swing, you must adjust the tension of BOTH bolts--the hinge and the travel-stop bolts. Out of the box, one swung beautifully, and the other, not so much. After a little trial and error, both now swing perfectly, in my desired manner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Setup adjustment is key I purchased these along with the RML 490 rack. I'm extremely happy that I did. Well worth the purchase price to never have to walk backwards while doing squats. A word of advice with regards to setting these up so that they swing freely. One of mine required the main bolt (the larger one) to be loosened in order to pivot freely. The other Monolift that I received required me to loosen both the main bolt AND the smaller bolt also. Once they were adjusted they both work perfectly. Extremely well built and solid as heck. I'd never go back to squatting with just J-cups. More than likely will start using them for when I bench also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lift-off I didn't know what I was missing until I got these. I've always lifted alone with my garage setup and safety straps but never had a spotter to help with lift-off on the bench press. I was starting to get some should and neck pains so I started benching lighter. The I decided to get these guys. They're heavy, with a 66lb shipping weight, and pretty big, but they are so worth it. I can now stay completely tight throughout my whole lift, which is what I was missing before. I found it hard to keep my shoulders pinched and down while unracking the bar with standard j-cups. These instantly allowed me to set a PR with no shoulder pain. Amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I won't ever go back to walking squats out backward. No way, and this is coming from a traditionalist with 20+ years of lifting. I see no sense in loading a ton of weight on your back and then gingerly walking backward to get into position unless you compete in a fed that requires it. Accident waiting to happen and I've been hurt on a walk out before. This enables you to get into the perfect position, unrack with maybe 1-1.5" of upward travel (keeps you tight and in the groove) and immediately lower. Just lean forward or slight step to rerack. Is adjustable so can be used for bench too but not exactly easy light like moving J Cups. I train alone so mine stay on my SML-1 for the squat and incline/military all the time. Probably the best gym money I spend this year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice! Most of the time I'm working out by myself, so these paired with the safety spotter arms make me feel much more safe when doing either bench or squats. It's great to be able to set your feet for squats and then just go without trying to shimmy your feet around. My only complaint is purely cosmetic. One of the red hooks has a nice smooth finish and the other is very jagged and rough. I wouldn't care if either both were smooth or both were rough, just be consistent with the finish. One of each doesn't scream quality control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy these Always wanted a monolift and this is excellent. Heavy duty, as is all of the glad I bought the adjustable so I can move it easily for my wife and kids. SSB fits nicely. Mine worked very well out of the box, no adjustment needed. Swings smoothly. Really solid unit. Bought it for the SML-2C squat stands. I added the half rack and loaded it with two full sets of calibrated plates plus extra 25KGs, etc....also have chains and safety arms on the rack so not bolted to the ground but for all intents and purposes it's bolted down. I don't anticipate issues since Rogue does recommend your rack be anchored if you're using the monolifts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice luxury I didn't really need these as I go more for the pump than extreme weights but I have to say I love the feel of starting off reps without the lift off. It's been eight or so months since I've purchased these and I'm still blown away by the build quality. You really can't fully appreciate these from pictures. Heavy and overbuilt for sure. Just be careful when you are benching with these. When they are lowered to head level it's easy to smack your head on the arms if your not paying attention while navigating around the monster light bench.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great addition with 1 minor issue Bought these a few months ago and they truly replicate the feel of getting a lift-off. In fact, it's even better since your set-up stays consistent and there is no risk of the spotter just dumping the bar on you. It takes some time getting used to and finding the right groove but once you master it your bench will feel that much better. I see a lot of people complaining that the hooks are too small and that they often struggle to re-rack the bar; I've had no such issues. My only problem is that one of the monolift arms I've purchased has started "rusting": once the bar is de-racked it won't go back all the way and stay in the path of the incoming barbell. If anyone has had that issue before, I'd love to hear a solution.
