Rogue Monster Lite J-Cup Pairs - Standard

Rogue offers three types of J-Cups for use with the 5/8” holes of a Monster Lite rack or rig. You can compare the options below and select your preference and quantity from the order menu on this page. All J-Cups are sold in pairs. For owners of a Monster Series unit, see our Monster J-cups.

  • 3” width, 6” height, 2.5” rackable depth, 3/8” plate steel, 10.25 LB
  • Laser-cut and precision bent, with UHMW plastic on the face to protect the knurling on your bar

Other Monster Lite J-Cup Options

Monster Lite 1" Sandwich J-Cups:

  • 1.5” width, 10” height, 2.5” rackable depth, 3/8” plate steel, 18 LB
  • This upgrade adds UHMW to the front lip (further preventing metal on metal contact) and extends the plastic lining all the way to the top of the back plate, reducing the chance of someone accidentally re-racking on the top of the plastic and then having the bar drop into the cup.
  • The UHMW plastic core of the “sandwich” offers full protection against barbell knurling, and plastic on the black plate prevents chipping of the upright finish.
  • A thin piece of rubber on the side of the clasp also softens contact between the clasp and upright when the J-Cup is swung into place.

MONSTER LITE 2” SANDWICH J-CUPS:

  • 2” width, 10” height, 2.5” rackable depth, 3/8” plate steel, 18 LB
  • Our premier model; the side plates fit into a recessed, machined plastic core (2" wide) to stop metal-to-metal contact. The hardware (that connects the plastic to the side plates) is also recessed, preventing the bar or a user’s hand from scraping against them. Welds are inside the side plates for a clean edge, and UHMW plastic is featured on the clasp and back plate to prevent damage to the uprights.
  • A thin piece of rubber on the side of the clasp also softens contact between the clasp and upright when the J-Cup is swung into place.

Please Note: These accessories are designed only for use with Monster LITE units. For Infinity Systems see Extra Infinity J-cup Set. For Monster Systems see our Monster J-cups.

Works good
I'm in the military and have used a lot of different types of equipment over the years. These are easy, effective and sturdy as hell. Got a second set because I'm lazy, and wanted to just move the bar from inside to outside the rack so I don't have to move the bench when I switch to squats, without having to shift the j-cups too. Bam - saved myself 45 seconds. Plus now we can do a 2-person workout using the rack simultaneously. This addition is a small tweak with big dividends.

They get the job done
I bought a second set of J-cups because I was tired of moving the other pair around on my rack. They're shinier when new than I remember. :-) I also have a pair of the sandwich J-cups. Both have their pros and cons. I prefer the sandwich cups for my squat position and the standard J-cups for my other lifts. I've had no problem with the cups scratching my rack or fitting improperly. They work great.

Scratches my rack...
Not the best. These move all over the place and as others have indicated, it will scratch your rack. At least put some UHMW on the back so that does not happen every time it's inserted or every time I re-rack and it swings (which would be solved by using UHMW). It's a shame it's such a big price jump to the sandwich J-cups, which are a much better product.

Will damage your equipment
As others have stated, because the uhmw plastic does not extend over the lip of the standard j cup, there is metal on metal contact. With any decent amount of weight on the bar, the cup and bar grind together. It will leave grooves in your bar and in the cup. If you have a cerakote bar the coating will scrape off over time. You will end up replacing the jcup, bar or both. Do your self a favor and opt for the sandwich jcups, or buy an additional gaurd for the standard jcup.

Awesome
I bought a second set of these to have options, in reading the other reviews I was concerned about trouble re-racking as there is limited clearance on either side. I have not found that to be an issue, they are great.

Perfect Setup
I have a huge Rogue Froning Rack. It is the absolute best for pull-ups. It has a lot of space and to save time during workouts we added 2 more pairs of j-cups to the rack. One stays on the inside of the back to hold the Rogue Ohio Power Bar for bench press. Another pair stays on the inside of the front to hold the Rogue Ohio Bar for squats. The other pair stays on the outside of the rack to hold the Rogue Rackable Curl Bar and the Rogue Multi Grip Bar. The Rogue Men’s Training Bar stays on the floor. Everything is ready to go without time wasting adjustments. It is also so much easier loading the Rogue Plates on and off when the bar is on the j-hooks and not on the floor. Love my Rogue setup.
