Quality Crumb Rubber Plates, Made in the USA

Manufactured for more than a decade at the Hi-Temp plant in Tuscumbia, Alabama, Rogue Bumper Plates remain among the few American-made weightlifting plates on the market. By no coincidence, they also rank among the very best—vouched for by trainers, gym owners, and competitive lifters, alike.

Finding a much needed alternative to the damaging clang of old-school iron plates and the weak construction of some imported bumpers, Hi-Temps are built from a nearly indestructible marriage of recycled vulcanized rubber and a 2" stainless steel insert. As with most crumb rubber plates, this manufacturing process can sometimes create minor aesthetic imperfections, but quality plates should be all about performance, not winning beauty pageants.

As another key design component, the collar on Hi-Temp bumpers is inset from the plane of the plate, allowing for better protection when multiple plates are on the bar, and reducing the risk of inserts getting impacted or popping out.

Rogue Hi-Temp Bumpers measure 17.5" in diameter and are guaranteed within +/- 0.5LB of the claimed weight. Using the column on the right, you can order your plates in simple pairs (10LB, 15LB, 25LB, 35LB, or 45LB) or in one of our full set options, ranging from 160 LB in combined weight to 1,000 LB.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall Satisfied I purchased the Rogue 350lb Bumper Set for 2 reasons; Made in the USA and I didn't want the chemical smell that comes from the China made bumpers. I don't abuse these, and by abuse I mean drop them from eye-level while standing up. I did customize them a little (see attached photo), I painted the raised lettering white. I just think it looks much better. Would you again? If there is a down side to these, I would say the overall thickness of the 45's. I feels a little awkward doing 405 squats with the sleeves being fully used up. I mean, what happens when I get stronger and need to throw on more weight?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 10# bumper - maybe don't use solo I bought a pair of Hi-Temp 10# bumpers to be my "WOD" bumpers - for anything low weight / high rep where the standard HG 10#/15# bumpers might be at risk for cracking or warping if dropped too much. Unfortunately, when they are the only bumpers on the bar, they tend to bow and deflect even when securely clipped. Possibly because of the softer rubber, possibly because of the insert. (The insert is a little more rounded than the HG insert, meaning fewer points of contact on the sleeve.) That having been said, they feel robust, and the build quality is great. If you're looking for good everyday bumpers that won't show signs of abuse, these will do the trick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Durable and Afforadable I bought a pair of each of these, used, from a guy in pretty good shape along with a beater bar. I use these when I want to get a quick work out in or when I cant make it to the gym. since I have cars in my garage I use them on my concrete driveway. they are super durable, I slam them, drop them, and abuse them on the concrete and they are still in the same condition as I bought them. the 10s and 15s are little flimsy, wouldn't recommend just using them on the bar, but they don't seem like they would break easy either. All in All they are super high quality plates. definitely would recommend them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These will outlast all of us I bought a pair of 10's and 15's a few months ago and have been very happy with them, so I went ahead and completed the whole set with pairs of 25's, 35's, and 45's. My primary motivations were 1) I don't have a deadlift platform so the rubber plates are much easier on the floor, and 2) they are made in the USA. For fun I measured them and their weights are extremely close to target; even the 45's are within 8 ounces of 45 pounds...not bad. I don't plan to drop these from over my head (which appears to be very popular these days) but I control the weights on the way down most of the way. I think these are well made and will serve me well for the next 100 years or so.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Plates except the 25lbs plates are very durable however over the past year my 25 pound bumper plates have been falling apart everything from the core popping out to the plate simply crumbling apart. 45 35 & 15's hold up really well I just have issues with the 25's they are past one year mark therefore out of warrantee. I have noticed quite a few bad reviews regarding the 25lb plates

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bumpers for the money Bought the 160 pound set a while ago. I didn't want to spend the money for Comp. or Training plates, but I still wanted an American plate that didn't smell. These things are indestructible, I drop them on rough concrete everyday, and these will definitely outlast the bar. The only downsides are maybe the bounce, and the thickness. (405 most you can get with collars). One thing that caught me off guard was that it doesn't say rogue on both sides, not a big deal but I thought I'd add it in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Bumpers! I was deciding between these and the HG bumpers but im glad i went with these.. they are nothing less than awesome! you can get about 90 pounds less on the bar with these than the HG's but that can easily be solved with some steel plates if you get to that level. Also they are not as "bouncy" as everyone says in the reviews, sure they might be a bit more than the other bumpers but nothing crazy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Indestructible, but be aware of smaller diameter These are great plates if you want to have the option of working out on unmatted surfaces. We use them both on stall mats in the garage and on the concrete outside and they show no wear or damage whatsoever. They are bouncy but not a huge amount more than HGs. The 10s and 15s have held up to repeated drops at affiliates, whereas I've seen the thinner HG equivalents start to break down around the metal ring (though this may be due to the H-Temp rings being recessed, whereas the HGs have metal-on-metal contact between adjacent plates). One point to note though is that they are a slightly smaller diameter than standard olympic plates. Not enough that you'd notice a change in bar height, but you can't use with other bumpers or iron plates if the barbell is going to hit the floor - you would effectively channel all the impact through the standard width plates on the bar, which could damage them and the floor (especially if adding iron!). Due to this and the thickness of the plates, be prepared to invest in some 65lb Gorilla plates (which are the same diameter as the Hi-Temps) if you need more than 405 on the bar.
