Finish is not durable.
Bought these as the were as economic as it gets for Rogue. Which is fine, we knew we were paying for quality and a company that’s been around for a while. We were also attracted to these plates for their finish. We’ve had them for about 2 months, and we’ve taken care of then. No excessive slamming, no knocking into steel posts etc. however, the finish is already starting to wear, and we’ve just started using them. I’m dreading to think how they’ll look in a couple years. Had I been more aware of that I might have spent more on a different set or just bought a grey finish. But if all you care about is that it’s a weight, then you won’t be disappointed.

Great finish
These plates look great! They are solid and a new favorite piece of equipment in the gym. Weight is weight but it doesn’t hurt to have the weights look nice too!

Great weights poor packaging
The packaging was extremely poor upon reception. I removed what little of the packaging that was there and placed them on my weight tree without thoroughly looking at them. Upon using them for the first time, I noticed one of the plates was slightly damaged in the form of chipping on the edge. The other plate looked great. On a positive note, the weight of the plates was exactly 45 pounds. I'm not overly concerned about the looks of the weights; just very disappointed in the packaging. I expected better from Rogue.

We're sorry to hear these boxes had a rough time in transit. We're reaching out to you now to take a look at the damage caused to your plates and make any issues right.

Good plates
This is my second time ordering these plates. I ordered the first set in 2020. Seems that the finish is not as good as it used to be; much rougher and a less finished look. As far as the weight tolerances, I ordered 5 sets of 45’s and 1 set of 25’s. 9 of the 45’s were within .5 of the stated weight one was 45.8 which did surprise me. If you’re looking for a finished look that is more accurate I would order the deep dish plates. If I could do it over again I would have spent the extra 200 and went that route.

Buy Rogue Deep Dish Plates Instead!
I only bought the 2.5lb plates of these to go with my Deep Dish Plates from Rogue. They are perfectly fine, but if you’re looking at these, just spend the extra money for the Rogue Deep Dish. You’ll thank me later! The price difference is negligible in my opinion and the quality difference is great. I asked my wife if she could tell which plates were not made in the USA from looking at them and she laughed. The Rogue plates are made in the USA, are higher quality, and look 100x better.
