Rogue R-3 Power Rack

The Rogue Version of the Classic Westside Barbell Rack

Part of the Rogue Infinity R-Series, our original R-3 Power Rack features 2x3" 11 Steel Gauge uprights (Standard - 90"
Shorty - 84" tall) with 5/8” holes in the Westside pattern—1" through the bench & clean pull zone, 2” spacing above and below. *The Shorty version chops off 6" in height for a better fit in basements or other rooms with lower ceiling heights. The R-3 design was adapted from the model that helped build champion powerlifters at Westside Barbell here in Columbus, OH, and it’s been a staple of our own arsenal for years.

The R-3 offers superior durability and versatility, but it’s also the most compact member of the R-Series, with a 24” inside depth and an overall footprint of just 53” x 34”. This makes the unit equally well suited to a collegiate / pro training facility or a home / garage gym. A 43” Fat/Skinny Pull-Up Bar, along with sets of Infinity J-Cups, Pin/Pipe Safeties, and Band Pegs, are included with the package. You can make multiple custom additions to your order using the choices from the drop down menu on this page.

Important: This rack must be bolted to the floor before use.

Variations on the R-3 Power Rack include:
The R-3W Fold Back Wall-Mount Rack
The Bolt-Together R-3 Rack

Rogue R-3 Power Rack is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 129.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Rack Very happy with my purchase of this rack in the short version. After bolting this down, it's very solid with very slight vibration noted while doing dips on the outside of the rack. The 24 inches of room within the rack is more than enough space for any movements you may wish to do. The welds and laser cut holes on the steel itself is top notch, and this rack is far above in quality over any equipment I have used before, including those of commercial gyms. The only criticism I could have of this rack is the holes do not have the laser cut numbering, which as I understand is a feature on Rogue's higher end racks due to presumably additional manufacturing time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from if you have any doubt, don't A few months ago, I decided I needed a power rack for my new home so I didn't have to wait 30 mins at 24 hour fitness for all the social media people taking selfies in the squat racks. I did my research and thought, I can save some money and buy a Titan Rack for a lot cheaper. I went and bought one, immediately after receiving it, I regretted my purchase, and gave it away a week later. I then purchased this sexy beast of a power rack. The footprint is small so it doesn't take up too much room, I'm able to fit it on an 8x8 foot platform and still have room to do lifts outside the area. Definitely the best purchase I've made so far. It's worth the extra money, the quality is legit in every aspect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent rack for anyone on a budget The R-3 and its abundant supply of accessories provides you with all the necessary equipment you need to throw away the ridiculous gym memberships. You can perform all the important compound exercises you need to hit every muscle group. I got the shorty because my townhouse only has 8 foot ceilings, and this option was perfect for me. The rig is sturdy and well put together. The packaging done very well and nothing arrived damaged in the slightest way. The only thing that disappointed me was that I couldn't get vertical plate storages because my 45 plates would be in the way of me performing decline bench press and doing dips on the (sold separately) matador.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect cornerstone for a garage gym I've had the rack for the better part of a month now and when it is all said and done it will serve as an excellent anchor for my set up. Regarding the anchors, yes, you do need to anchor it. You can get away with it for awhile, but there is some sway and the rack will shift and not remain level. The only issue I have run into is when pressing overhead inside the rack I hit the top of the rack. I'm 5'11 and maybe I have freakishly long arms? My plan was to cut the stall mats as Rogue recommends, but I could not afford to lose that 3/4's of an inch so I just used extra long concrete anchors. I'll update the review if there are any issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent rack I bought an RML-690C last year because I thought the R-3 would not be nearly as stable, the 2x3 steel would give it inferior strength, the lack of room inside would be annoying, etc.. But this year I've purchased two R-3's for my training facility and I totally love them. Being fully welded gives these plenty of strength, and bolting them to the concrete makes them as solid as a rock. I actually believe I like them better than the RML because they are a bit taller, easy to do an overhead press inside without hitting anything. As usual with Rogue, everything looks great, everything fit together perfectly, no missing pieces, and it came with easy to follow instructions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE Standard Bought this almost two years ago. It does almost everything you need it to. Super sturdy. I am posting this review to address reviews that have issues with the R-3. Some people take off a star because the "uprights aren't numbered." Uh...didn't you realize that before you purchased it? Either don't buy it, use a silver sharpie, or deal with it. People seem to be disappointed with things they should have known about. "It sways too much when bolted to a platform." The rack was intended to be bolted to concrete; hence the concrete anchors for sale on the SAME PAGE. The R-3 is a stout and reliable rack. It won't do everything an RM-6 does, but most of us don't need those features anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from R-3 shorty is perfect! I finally put my R3 shorty together and I love it. I also purchased the adjustable monolifts, the land mine and matador. Products are definitely heavy duty and not cheap. I purchased the concrete anchors, rented a hammer drill, and a 3/8 drill bit. I used a smaller drill and bit to start all the holes then used the hammer drill. Anchors work well. Only issue I had was that each leg of the rack has 3 holes for a total of 12. But the bag only had 8 anchors. Anyways, if you're wondering if you should press the trigger on this rack, do it. Its a great investment

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid! I didn't want to spend so much on a rack at first, but man, I'm sure glad I picked up the R3. I researched all kinds of racks but I couldn't find one with the footprint and features of the R3. As others have said, this thing is built like a tank. I bolted it down to my garage floor using only 2 bolts per foot and it's still solid. For me, I had to loosen the bolts attaching the pull-up bars prior to bolting it down since the rack wouldn't stay square. Once I bolted it down I tightened up the bolts on the pull up bar. I also recently ordered the plate storage accessory and those are a must as well if you have limited space.
