Product Description

Rogue’s Straight Stainless Steel Lat Bars are available in two length options (20” and 40”) and can be easily attached to our Monster Lat Pulldown Machine, a rack-mounted Slinger, or other cable machines on the market.*

These fully knurled pulldown bars were designed and developed by the Rogue team and are manufactured exclusively in Columbus using the same 28.5mm barbell steel found in our Stainless Steel Ohio Bar. The included swivel tab is laser-cut from 3/8” stainless steel (with laser-cut Rogue “R” branding) and tumbled to eliminate any sharp edges. We also installed a pair of custom machined shaft collars to set the tab securely in place.

Rogue Stainless Straight Lat Bar

Each Lat Bar ships fully assembled and comes with a quality black carabiner for quick attachments.

Please Note: Since the bars are stainless rather than coated steel, the machining process may be visible in some areas.

Size Options:

  • 20” (6.6 LBS): This is a particularly good option for small gyms with limited space or for larger gyms that have multiple machines in close proximity. It can be used effectively for push down movements, and is also optimal for attaching to the low row portion of a lat pulldown for rows / curls.
  • 40” (12.2 LBS): With this option, the inner knurl marks (spaced at 16.53”) represent the center portion of an Olympic Bar, while the outer knurl marks (spaced at 31.88”) match the IPF spec for a power bar. Because the knurl stretches to the center of the bar, it also allows for effective close-grip push down movements.

*Important: Lat pulldown machines from different manufacturers will vary in their level of resistance when unloaded. Therefore it is important that the lat bar attachment is always supported while changing the weight to prevent it from falling and causing injury.

I want to love it, but probably won't last
Love Rogue, pretty much my entire gym is Rogue but this bar is a bit disappointing. The good, solid stainless bar with the amazing Rogue knurling carved into it. Feels great in your hands. It's well machined and looks great. The bad, along the lines of a few other reviews where they talk about is having too much friction or even grinding. What I found is that there is no bearing or bushing at the center rotating attachment point. Its just steel on steel. While the bar is perfectly machined the center attachment point looks laser cut. The problem with that is the inner part that comes in contact with the bar is not perfectly smooth and has a textured surface. As this rotates against the bars its start to wear immediately. After 10 sets of triceps I took it apart and could already see the wear starting to happen due to the friction between the two parts. There was no lubrication from Rogue either, again just metal on metal contact. I cleaned it up and put some nickel based grease around the inner race and the bar shaft. I will see if that stops the wear over the next few training sessions. The disappointing part for me is Rogue makes amazing barbells with brass bushing that rotate perfectly, so they have the ability to do this in house. It's a shame they couldn't just press in a bushing or even a sealed bearing to fix this issue. Again, great in some ways, hoping the grease fixes the wear issues, with a little bit of engineering this would be an amazing bar.

Nice machining but friction and noise is a letdown
Solid bar, nice knurling but as other have said there is way too much friction in the spinning handles causing it to be noisy. You would think that a decent set of bearings would have been integrated into the design. Not a smooth piece at all

Horrible grinding during reps
This bar has a terrible rough-metal on rough-metal feel during any movement where the bar rotates under load. This accompanied by a metal grinding sound. The knurling is spot on and the bar looks great, but it feels horrible.

Almost perfect
It's almost perfect. Heavy, solid, but the one issue we have is it doesn't spin on it's bearing quite as smooth as their bars that leverage the brass bearing. This will sometimes get stuck as it rotates which can be annoying as you're pulling weight.

Pristine lat bar
This stainless steel lat bar is just great. The knurling is just right, it's not going to rip your hands up but it ensures a nice slip-free grip. It rotates with no friction at all. I was a bit concerned that there would be some friction due to some of the other reviews, but mine rotates flawlessly. Very happy with the purchase.

Good build quality
Great product! Well built. I love their product. Only issue I'm having is that it seems to be grinding a lot. I've noticed metal shavings on my shoulders when I'm doing overhead presses.
