Spud Inc. Traveling Farmer Walk Handles

Spud Inc. Traveling Farmer Walk Handles offer a simple, budget-priced alternative to full-scale, barbell-style farmer’s walk implements. The uniquely portable set includes a pair of 8' long nylon straps and two rubber-coated, steel-core handles measuring 1.5” in diameter. For set-up, simply adjust the buckle to a desired length, slide the strap-loop through the center of a plate (45LB, 100LB, whatever your preference), and pull the handle up through the loop. Repeat the process with the second strap, and you've got a functional farmer’s walk tool that fits in a gym bag and works great for use among multiple athletes.

Each strap on the Traveling Farmer Walk Handles is long enough and durable enough to allow 300+LB of steel plates to be loaded.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These F-ing Rock I have the rogue farmer handles, and love them but for a quick session (metcon or finisher) after lifting it can be a hassle to load them and get them outside to the driveway. These, however.....are super portable. Even with bumper plates (2x45# a side or more) it's a perfect fit for carries....doesn't bump into your legs and the handles are solid. Looking forward to taking these and some plates on vacation and hitting some farmer carries on the beach.... Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great alternative for the $$ Ok so I was a little skeptical and somewhat let down when I didn't order the full farmers walk handles. Cost was definitely a determining factor. Grabbed x4 100lbs plates and decided to give these suckers a try. All I can say is I'm impressed, spud delivers agin. I've officially got a new "embrace the suck" tool to add to my workouts. Great purchase. Highly recommended

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value, wish I got the steel handles. They work well and seem to hold weight without issue. The problem is adjusting constantly between weights to accompany different users. That and they don't like to sit level, the handles being held are hard to get parallel to the ground. It's much cheaper than the steel handles, but I wish I would have gotten those and skipped out on these. These work fine for a budget but will quickly leave you wanting more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Has it’s limitations. We’ll start with the positives: For the price, if you don’t intend on loading more that 90lbs or 100kg per handle, these are a very useful and economical solution to bigger and bulkier Farmer’s Handles. They fit in your gym bag. They seem durable. If you are doing light weight for distance, they are great. The grip is good and they are strong enough to handle competitive weight. Now for the negatives: Once you load 135lbs or more setting these up for a neutral grip as Farmer’s walks are intended, the weight starts to pitch inward towards your legs and will hit you, throwing off your rhythm. Yes, overhand grip or a supinated grip set up would fix this, but I train them neutral how it would be done in competition. I attached a photo of this issue. They can be cumbersome to load, unload, and adjust height if working out with a partner that has different weight requirements than you. In addition, if using Iron plates like I do, the difference in plate diameter makes loading and unloading a pain, especially when trying to balance 4-5 plates per strap. Overall: I would recommend if you don’t plan on exceeding 90lbs / 100kg per handle. If you plan or training heavy or for competition, I cannot recommend. Spend more money on a real set of Farmer’s Handles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Space saving and affordable I bought a squat rack, barbell, echo bumper plates and these straps a month ago. I've been searcing for something like this for month - takes very little space and is reasonably priced. Strapping up 2 bumper plates takes just a few seconds once you initally get the loop size set. I highly recommend them. Handles are also thick just like a kettlebell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Variable Weight Carries These work just as advertised. The beauty is that you can create farmer's carries at ANY weight you want for relatively low cost. They are built to last, the construction is as solid as any Rogue product. I'd recommend watching the product's video to make sure you're wrapping them correctly to the plates you're using.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Innovative product As with any product, there are tradeoffs. Yes, the weights can twist if they touch your leg, and you have to get used to keeping the handles parallel to the ground. But it is easy to set the exact weight you need using plates. It is easily adjustable, portable, and storable. Optimal for my meager home gym.
