Rogue Black Training LB Bumper Plates

Manufactured to the same high standard as our Rogue Competition Plates, these LB bumpers feature an all-black, gloss-matte-gloss finish and a unique, color-coded rubber stripe that wraps around the full perimeter of each plate. That stripe, along with raised, color-coded lettering on the face of the plate, allows for quick visual weight identification from any direction or distance.

Rogue Black Training LB Bumper Plates are available to order in pairs or as full sets of 210LB, 300LB, or 320LB. They're an IWF standard 450MM in diameter, with chrome-plated steel disc inserts and a 50.40MM collar opening for a firm, stable hold. Raised rubber flanges are included to help prevent friction and scuffing, and lipped edges make the bumpers easier to pick up off the floor or off a rack.

Tested on a Shore A Durometer scale, the Black Training LB Bumpers score an average measurement of 94. That means you get a consistent dead blow on the drop, on par with some of the top high-end Olympic bumper plates in the industry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Over Quantity = More $$$ I’ve been using these training plates for the last 6 months are worth every penny. Yea these are pricey and I could have gone for cheaper ones. But the quality is outstanding despite the fact those are not made in the U.S. Rogue is able to stand behind the quality for sure and a highly recommend them if you have the extra cash. Any Rogue bumper weight will do the job but you can’t beat the how nice this plate look and the functionality. I have used them about 5 times per week since I got them in April and have been able to live to the pricey expectation. I recommend this to anyone who wants quality over quantity. You do pay for what you get for with Rogue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great training plates These plates are great. I actually prefer the look of them to the fully colored competition plates, and they're a little cheaper, so it's a win-win. There isn't much bounce and the quality is outstanding. When I took them out of the package, my girlfriend's response was, "Wow, those look really nice." I'll definitely be buying more in the future. They are slightly wider than the "standard" steel plates, but they're still plenty thin enough to fit a lot of weight on the bar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super solid These are the best feature of my garage, completely solid, very low-maintenance. I expected more scuffing and loose nuts but these are drama-free and super high quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny Originally bought the 320Lbs set, and have purchased 2 additional 45's since. These things are great. I use them in my basement and could not be more impressed with the quality, look, and performance. I use them for olympic lifts and crossfit wods. Dropping them from overhead is no issue and the dead bounce is great. Spend the extra money for these you will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful plates! Got a 300lb set to supplement my 350lb HG2.0's... HG's were great at first, but being so wide, I needed more narrow plates to add to the bar. I have these mixed in on my plate rack and it's nice to see the stripe from a far in order to quickly pull at the 35 and 25 HG's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality I bought the 320 pound package a few months ago to go along with the Rogue kite squat rack. I love the look of them (actually prefer the black w/ stripe to the all bright competition look), they make my home look much nicer than my previous plates. I went with bumpers to be as easy as possible on my floors (also have rubber cushion covering my gym room) if I were to ever have to drop them. My only complaint is that they don’t make 10lb plates with a bright white stripe and 15lb plates with bright orange stripes. I’ve got 2.5 and 5 pound plates but they don’t slide on and off the bar nearly as easily as these bumper plates. Adding 10 and 15lb plates would really make drop sets easier while keeping your gym looking nice with matching equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal Comp Quality Bumper Plates I had been looking at buying a plate set from Rogue for sometime, and thankfully they decided to release these before I pulled the trigger on the old Black Training LB plates. These plates are truly amazing, and the color stripe makes it extremely easy to tell exactly what you have loaded on your bar. I bought a full set of these though, and also bought a full set of the fully color competition plates. Beyond one set being fully colored, there really is no difference between them. They both look and feel great, and have a completely dead bounce every time. When I'm putting them on the bar or taking them off, the sound of the metal insert makes me feel like I'm unsheathing a sword, and truly is awesome to experience. I've compared other "high end" plates from competitors, such as Get Rx'd, with their full color KG only plate set (I may have gotten them in person had they had LB plates...oh well, glad I didn't), and these honestly exceeded the quality and feel of them by a long shot, for a pretty comparable price. The only thing that I would recommend here is to try and add each pair of plate together to your cart if you're looking at getting a full set. While shipping is included if you go with the set, I found that it was actually more expensive to go with the set vs. a la carte that added up to a full set. This may be different for you of course depending on where you're shipping to (I was going all the way to Louisiana though, so not close by any means), but something to think about. Overall, these things are amazing. I love them. I can't recommend them enough to anyone interested in investing in a really quality plate set for a slightly less expensive price than the fully colored competition set, as I've found no other difference beyond that full color aesthetic. They're both great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy after careful consideration Unable to build a proper platform for my garage gym, I convinced myself that bumper plates was the best option to protect the flooring (I have 1/2 rubber flooring in place). Rogue has many options to choose from but I honed in on the training and competition plates. I was attracted to the aesthetics of both. However, the icing on the cake was the slight price differential favoring the training plates. I love how snug they fit on the bar and the minimal bounce. I'm glad I took my time deliberating.
