The SLML-6 is a unique variation of our standard Monster Lite Weight Stack Slinger™, designed specifically for use with RML-6 sized power racks (90” height only). Ideal for users who have their rack positioned near a wall, this new set-up enables (a) the weight stack to sit conveniently in the smaller 24” back section of an RML-6 unit, and (b) the user to still work freely off the front of the rack, utilizing the kit’s longer cable and additional pulley.
Like the standard model, this version of the rack-mounted Slinger cable-pulley system can deliver the training benefits of a traditional Lat Pulldown Machine with better space and cost efficiency. Customers have two SLML-6 Kit options to choose from.
Option 1 - Full Kit
For customers who do NOT already own a Weight Stack Slinger–this version includes everything needed for a new set-up on an RML-6 rack:
- 300 LB Weight Stack in 10 LB increments
- Chrome Plated Guide Rods
- Rear Pulley and Bracket Set
- Front (Standard) Slinger Set-up
- Longer Length Cable
- Mounting Hardware
Option 2 - Upgrade Kit
For customers who already have a Weight Stack Slinger and want to upgrade to this RML-6 friendly version. This conversion kit includes only:

IMPORTANT: Both weight stack kits are compatible only with 3.0 style 24” Monster Lite crossmembers, which include the required 1” hole for the cable to pass through. Users who need to upgrade to 3.0 crossmembers (on top and bottom) can add these to their order in the purchase area.
Warning: Any Rack or Rig utilizing the Slinger attachment must be securely fastened to the floor for use.

Better Optimization for RML-6 Set-Up
This version of the Slinger was specifically designed to give RML-6 rack owners a more convenient option in which their rack can remain positioned near/against a gym wall; the weight stack can sit in the 24” back portion of the rack; and the athlete can still train in the front of the rack. An extended cable and extra pulley are key to this set-up, with customers able to either purchase a full kit or upgrade their existing Slinger to this version.

Mounting Plates + Cable & Hardware
The SLML-6 Slinger can be installed ONLY on Rogue Monster Lite units. This can be done using the included pair of laser-cut and formed, ¼” thick steel Slinger Mounting Plates, which feature a quality Signature Texture Black Powdercoat finish and Rogue branding. The full kit also includes the extended ¼” MIL spec cable, 6” pulleys and all required hardware.

Optional Slinger Crossmembers
Because the standard crossmembers on older Monster Lite units do not include holes on the top/bottom of the tubes, customers can add a pair of 24” ML 3.0 Crossmembers to their order, which include pre-drilled holes for the cable to pass through. Without a Slinger Crossmember, you’ll need to drill a hole through the existing Monster Lite crossmember ahead of set-up. This can be done by an experienced craftsman or by taking the tube to a local fab shop.

Satisfied But Could Be Better
Agree with other reviewers in that this piece is pretty much only for owners of the 6-post RML-690 since the cable length is fixed for it. However if you have one, it is a pretty good option for someone looking to add a heavy weight stack to the side of the rack for cable work.
However my biggest issue with the product is that the listing and pictures (when I ordered in 2022) should have been updated or clarified with more information. I experienced that there were inaccuracies to the website listing since it showed a grey colored, smooth weight stack with a chromed plate rod that started at 10 LBs, but I believe Rogue has since changed to a cast iron black weight stack with gray plate rod that starts at 20 LBs.
Additionally the large 6" pulleys are too big and adds height requirements that are unnecessary. They are nylon pulleys that don't rotate on an even plane so it makes a scraping noise if you over tighten the slinger bracket bolts. I have to leave them pretty much untightened in order to minimize noisy pulleys.

Great piece - lack of customization
I bought this a month ago and installation was easy and works as expected. The whole thing operates very smooth and has opened up a lot of exercises without taking up space. My only reason for knocking it down to 4 stars is because of Rogue’s lack of cable customization. I have a 6 post rack but with 30 inch crossmembers in the front. Unfortunately the standard product is built for the RML 490 which has 43 inch crossmembers. This resulted in the cable being a little too long. I tied the cable in a knot (not ideal) to shorten it. After a while I decided to get the cable shortened by a shop I found online and that made it perfect. Great product - just wish Rogue what offer custom cable lengths.
