Rogue 32MM Squat Bar

$595.00 CAD

Rogue 32MM Squat Bar

The 32MM Squat Bar is another Rogue-exclusive, Ohio-built power bar, featuring a deep, coarse knurl pattern for optimal “stick” and an oversized stainless steel shaft for reduced whip/flex on heavy loads. We sent the prototype through the gauntlet of abuse (aka product testing) at Westside Barbell, and only after they gave it their approval did we move forward into mass production.

At a length of 94.49”, the Squat Bar is considerably longer than a standard Oly bar (our Ohio Bar is 86.75”), with 56” between the sleeves and a loadable sleeve length of 16.795” (vs. 16.4” on the Ohio Bar). The 32mm diameter stainless steel shaft has a tensile strength of 200,000 PSI, and the knurling runs across its entire length, with clearcut powerlifting marks and a center mark included. The aggressive knurl pattern ensures a firm grip without being sharp or abrasive.

Key Features of the 32MM Rogue Squat Bar

  • 1Specialized Design - Built in the USA

A squat-optimized bushing bar needs stability, rigidity, and plenty of weight capacity. So we built the Rogue Squat Bar with a 32mm dia. stainless steel shaft, delivering a tensile strength of 200,000 PSI. This design limits the whip / flex on heavy loads. The 25KG Squat Bar also has a longer shaft and sleeves than standard multi-purpose Olympic bars, as the chrome sleeves are spaced 56” apart and offer 16.975” of loadable length. All Rogue Squat Bars are machined and assembled with pride in Columbus, OH, USA.

  • 2Aggressive, Full-Length Knurling

Through years of experience working directly with top competitive powerlifters from around the world, Rogue has developed and refined a knurl pattern (machined on quality Haas machines) that is deep and coarse enough for a reliable grip or “stick” without being sharp or abrasive. This knurl pattern stretches along the full length of the Squat Bar’s shaft, and includes powerlifting marks and a center knurl mark.

F Scale™
The F Scale™ is a durability scale for barbells based on functional testing at stresses similar to what barbells experience when being dropped from overhead. Bars that have been treated with Rogue Work Hardening (RWH™) are designated by having an R in their F Rating™. For more information on F Scale™ click here.

Oxidation Rate
The resistance of a barbell to oxidation depends on the type of steel and the coating. Barbells at the lower end of the spectrum will require more care and maintenance to preserve their appearance than barbells at the upper end of the spectrum.

*The Squat Bar’s quality construction is backed by Rogue’s Lifetime Warranty against bending. This is a barbell equipped for high intensity, everyday use. Please Note: The warranty does not cover damage due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user, i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage. Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Rogue 32MM Squat Bar is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I have a rogue ohio power bar and deadlift bar which I love so I thought the squat bar was the perfect way to complete the collection. While a but pricey and only in stainless steel (a bare steel option would be a good way to bring price down) it is one of the most Impressive bars I have ever used. Putting 500lbs on the bar felt more secure and stable than any other bar I tried. As a result I have PR'd multiple times since using this. If you are serious about squatting or want to start hitting some big numbers this is a great option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waiting a Long Time I just purchased this bar, but I actually wrote to Rouge last year about the possibility of them making a stainless steel squat bar. First, let me say this is a HUGE value. The only other stainless steel squat bar I have ever seen was the Artic Wolfe and it was well over $1,000. This is the first bar I have ordered from Rogue and I must say I am impressed with build quality. Before we get to that though, let me say you are not getting in the packing tube without tools lol. The heavy duty tube is taped and stapled on both ends while inside foam pieces protect the ends of the sleeves. To be clear, I live in Louisiana and my home gym in is an unairconditioned shed. Humidity averages 45-100% during the summer months. I had a Texas squat bar, and it was an excellent squat bar, but it rusted when you looked at it. Literally the first time I used it, the next day there were rust outlines where my fingers were on the bar. I was fortunate enough to purchase an Ivanko 29mm stainless steel power bar about a year before the Beijing Olympics. Lucky I say because a year later the price of these bars doubled from what I paid and haven't come down since. I have put up photos of this bar compared to the squat bar so you can see that while stainless steel does not rust, it will oxidize and a smooth patina will form. This Ivanko bar is over 12 years old and you can see the condition of it. I don't know if the Rogue bar will patina the same way since the steel formulation has a large part to do with this. To be honest I consider the Ivanko power bar to be one of the best power bars ever made. One thing you will notice is the knurling size difference. The squat bar has a larger knurling which is absolutely perfect for a squat bar. The knurling is firm but not pointy or uncomfortable. I also have a Pendelay Olympic bar and the knurling is finer on that one too. I say this because there was a review here of a customer who was critical of some of the aspects of the squat bar. I think he/she did not quite know what they were buying. Squat bars are specialized bars made exclusively for squatting. While you could use it for deadlifting or benching, it was not designed for these lifts. Remember it is 55 pounds and longer between the collars than a normal bar. I found the squat bar to be reasonably stiff up to the 465 pounds I put on it. The knurling all the way across the bar feels great on the back and is grippy without be uncomfortable. I am a 30-year powerlifter and a SHW so I appreciate the room of a squat bar. This is one of those purchases that is not necessary even for those who are into powerlifting meets (not all federations allow squat bars). However, this is one of those purchases that once you try a squat bar, you'll never want to squat with anything else. In closing, I find the build quality to be top notch, the stainless steel should go a long way to prevent rusting, and I would highly recommend this squat bar to anyone looking for one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this bar This is the 3rd barbell I bought from Rogue and I’m very happy with this purchase. It’s definitely a beast and is being used regularly. The knurl is very aggressive which I like and it does stick well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bar I bought this bar because I like to have my hands wide and the extra length gives me more room. And the aggressive knurling that goes across the entire inside length really helps not only with back squats, but especially front squats. The quality is really good, reason not for 5 stars is because it is not as rigid as I thought it would be, probably because of the added length maybe. Build quality is very good, knurling type is very different, really sticks, I no longer chalk my shirt. I would recommend this bar for experienced lifters, I would say newbies and intermediates would not see the benefit of this bar because alot of the benefits of specialty high quality bars are only noticable with heavier weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing better for squats! Love the knurl and diameter of this bar. Zero flex and the options for wide hand spacing is needed. with the exception of the USAPL/IPF, other powerlifting federations utilize as specialized squat bar and this is as good as any.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great squat bar The full knurling is exactly what you want in a squat bar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great bar Got a PR 1st time using it. Sticks much better than my power bar due to the knurling going all the way across. Longer bar makes racking without hitting the rack a breeze .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Bar Bought this a little over a month ago. Knurling is exceptional, takes some getting used to if you have never used a squat bar. I am used to more whip, and the bar sitting differently on my back, so there was an adjustment, but after playing with it I much prefer this bar. I am also very broad, so the extra width is much appreciated by my shoulders.
