Kabuki Kadillac Bar

The Kabuki Strength Kadillac Bar is manufactured in Ohio by Rogue Fitness and now comes standard with knurled handles and a Signature Texture Black powdercoat finish. Customers can also choose to upgrade to our Proprietary Matte Black sleeve finish, which uses a process that effectively transforms the surface of the steel rather than coating it, greatly increasing the sleeves’ long-term corrosion resistance and color endurance (this upgrade comes with black mounting hardware).

Cambered to the same angle as Kabuki’s Duffalo Bar, the Kadillac Bar is a specialty neutral grip / football bar that enables a full range of motion, with convenient rackability on any standard power rack (40.5” to 52.5”). The bar includes 1.33” diameter handles spaced 15.3”, 22.3”, and 29.2” apart, with 10°, 12.5°, and 15° grip angles. The variability of handle placement and angles offers countless variations in exercises and progressions, and also promotes optimal, stacked joint position and improved movement mechanics.

Athletes can utilize the Kadillac Bar in both standard and reverse grip positions, and the precision-machined, zinc-plated sleeves (with 16.7” loadable length) enable the use of regular barbell collars. The sleeves are also removable, reducing the overall shipping cost. A 9/16” wrench and 7/32” hex key are included for easy assembly.

While the Kadillac Bar is primarily a bench press / neutral grip football barbell, it can also be used for curls, skull crushers, rows, lat pull-downs, and more.

*Please Note: The optional Proprietary Matte Black metal treatment process also hardens the steel, which can cause some additional friction with plates that have a chamfer.

Key Features of the Kadillac Bar

1

Multiple Knurled Handles

Now manufactured by Rogue Fitness, the new Kadillac Bar includes a set of (6) 1.33” diameter handles spaced at 15.3”, 22.3”, and 29.2” apart. Combined with the cambered design of the bar, this creates three different angles for hand positioning, at 10°, 12.5°, or 15°. Along with enabling more types of exercises and progressions, this variation in grip options also promotes optimal, stacked joint position and improved movement mechanics for athletes of any size or experience level.

Beneficial Cambered Design

The 1/4” laser-cut frame of the Kadillac Bar is cambered or angled in the same manner as the Kabuki Duffalo Bar, and similarly can help reduce stress on the shoulders, biceps, and back, while enabling scapular retraction and superior joint centration. In the form of a multi-grip bar, the camber also improves stability and opens up a greater range of motion when the athletes uses the outer handles for exercises like the bench or rows.

Two Sleeve Finish Options

The precision-machined sleeves of the Kadillac Bar are available in your choice of either our Signature Texture Black powdercoat finish or our premium Proprietary Matte Black finish. The PMB option utilizes a process that effectively transforms the surface of the steel rather than coating it, greatly increasing the sleeves’ long-term corrosion resistance and color endurance. Black hardware is included with the Matte Black sleeves for mounting to the frame. Please Note: The Proprietary Matte Black metal treatment process also hardens the steel, which can cause some additional friction with plates that have a chamfer.

Infinitely Better than Version 1
So, when I saw that Rogue was making this bar, I sold my original version of the bar quickly to fund this purchase. All I can say is the bar is significantly better because of the knurling (which feels like the TB-2 knurling). I also got the black matte sleeves which gives this a very premium look. Packaging was exceptional, this bar and Rogue deserve a medal!

The best made better
Best Swiss/ football bar ever. Local gym has the bar so I decided to buy it. Adding the knurling and simplifying the way the shafts input are huge game changers.

Unsure at first but now I love it!
The additional hand holds lure you into more sets and reps. The bar is balanced. Also great for curls and other lifts. It has improved my chest workouts.

Great bar, but be careful with movements
I recently received this bar about two weeks ago and have been using it in my SSTT program near the end of my peak. I should have probably waited before throwing this into rotation because the stretch from the camber is becoming too intense to implement fully. I think easing into this bar is where I needed to start. On another note, in order to fully implement this bar you need to slightly rotate the bar aft in order to create lat stiffness and a good arch. Overall I think I his bar will increase my tricep strength immensely.

Knurled Kabuki Kadillac!
I was in the market for some sort of multi-grip cambered bar, and had been intrigued by the new Rogue MG-4C after seeing it on Garage Gym Reviews in June. Weighing the MG-4C against the Kadillac it was a toss up: the MG-4C seemed too wide and awkward at ~10” vs Kadillac of 7”, but the Kadillac didn’t have knurling like I really wanted it to have. When this collaboration was announced, I placed my order immediately and hoped for the best in terms of ship times. 2-4 weeks? Sure enough, it shipped right at 4 weeks, which is great to me considering the much longer ship times I’ve gotten for Kabuki bars (Kroc and Transformer). I received the bar two days ago and have used it for just a couple workouts (notably for overhead press and bent over rows), and I can say it’s a delight. The camber is nice, and the knurled handles feel quite responsive and they have a comfortable large outer diameter of 1.330” (or 33.8mm). I can’t see needing adjustable positions for myself, and the MG-4C has 28.5mm handles, so I feel like I lucked out with choosing this. Speaking of adjustable handle positions, I appreciate not having to assemble those like with the MG-4*, and was relatively painless to assemble the sleeves onto the Kadillac. Looking more at the MG-4CN now as a new option and more direct competition (although ~20% more expensive when you include comparable 3 handles in total), it looks super appealing if there were fat grip handles as an option. The stainless steel options also draw me in, but would add considerable cost. For right now, I’m super happy with my purchase of the Kadillac bar. It seems like the current best option for me to get a knurled, cambered bar. And of course, shipping and packaging was top notch.

Nothing better
I’ve had this bar for months from Kabuki. It’s the greatest bar I know. We barbell bench out of tradition. This bar uses science. Sure if you’re preparing for a meet, probably not the best. But if you’re a field athlete…I’m not sure why I’d ever recommend going back. Chris and Co did a great job. Also wonderful for rows and presses.
