Super Fat Bars

In strength training, the need for variety isn’t limited to the range of exercises in your regimen—it applies to equipment, as well. This is why Rogue has created two new advanced “fat bar” options, designed to improve grip and forearm strength while adding a challenging new dimension to pulls and dead lifts for the seasoned weightlifter.

Both the Branch Fat Bar and Beam Fat Bar start with the same 1.5” pipe as the Rogue Axle, with 14” inches of loadable space and weight capacities topping 550LB. The distinction comes in the Branch and Beam’s 38.5” fat grip areas.

  • The Rogue Branch Fat Bar
  • Round grip
  • Outside Diameter: 3"
  • Bar Length: 80.5"
  • Bar Weight: 39LB

  • The Rogue Beam Fat Bar
  • Square grip
  • Fat Grip is 3x3”
  • Bar Length: 80.5"
  • Bar Weight: 41LB

Fat bar training has become increasingly popular in recent years, but a fat grip shouldn’t be seen as a novelty item. Sturdiness and quality are still essential, and the American-made Beam and Branch Fat Bars deliver on both fronts. Get a grip on the one that best suits you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fat Bar So Good Bought the Branch a few months ago to assist with grip strength in pulling activities. This bar is both a brutal addition and beast at what it does. Have noticed marked improvements in deadlifts, pull-ups, and rows in addition to getting a slower pump from rock climbing. Build quality seems different from some other Rogue gear but it does exactly what I want it to do. The only real gripe is around small finishing touches -- the bar ends could be better and I had to rip off the Rogue sticker. There should be some etching or other form of positive branding on it instead of the sticker just seemingly posing as an off-centered cheap afterthought. I have a few other Rogue bars and these other bars just hit both the performance and aesthetic considerations; Branch kills it on performance but just barely missed the mark on that premium aesthetic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built and effective! Purchased this to augment my lifting bars - was not disappointed! Provides a different grip than the standard Ohio Bar, and works my arm muscles differently as a result.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beam bar Bar weighs 48 not the listed 38lbs. I’m happy with that since I can call it 45 for easy math. Bar was not well packaged and showed up with a few flat spots in the powder coat. The powder coating was pretty terrible. Spots with good texture that hold chalk and slick spots. Even before the bar arrived I was thinking about sanding it to bare metal and the powder coat helped confirm that decision. The build quality is great, the finish work and packaging was terrible.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Branch bummer! Was so excited to get this bar especially considering how hard it is to get lifting equipment right now. Unfortunately, the bar arrived damaged and to honest... really disappointed in the overall build quality considering its from “Rogue Fitness.”

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome fat bar! This fat bar is outstanding quality. The ends of the bar are a little small so my collars don't fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very effective The Branch seems to be spot on with the diameter, weight and other design factors that make it work well. It will help a lifter/athlete develop further by using it for certain exercises.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy and Badazz Branch Monster bar and an important part of my grip regimen. I'm determined to do DL's never without straps or alternate grips and this is part of the deal. Super heavy duty, my bar weighs 48 pounds and that's fine by me. Massive curl bar. Just a tough and recommended piece of barbell furniture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Beam Bar is worth the money. I got the Beam Bar to challenge my grip and it does it's job and then some. It also offers a unique experience when doing presses and curls as well due to it's shape overall I'm quite pleased with the beam bar. I didn't get the branch bar since I have an old cheap barbell which I plan on buying fat grips for later on. The Beam bar you can't do that though. So if your only going to get one of these fat bars get the beam bar since you can't replicate it with fat grips like you can the Branch Bar. The Beam Bar is an all around 5 star product. I also left a video review if you want a more in depth look at the Beam Bar.
