Acumobility Eclipse Roller

Made in the USA, the Eclipse Roller from ACUMOBILITY is a first-of-its-kind hybrid of a foam roller and trigger point release tool. The design includes five unique pressure strips and four zones of compression, giving the user unprecedented ability to treat multiple trigger points at once while choosing the level of pressure and where it’s focused.

The 18” long Eclipse Roller is made from an extremely durable, non-toxic EVA Tough Molded Foam with a reinforced PVC pipe core. It’s compact and portable like a traditional massaging roller, but built to last longer.

Five Pressure Strips

When using the Eclipse Roller, you can spread a targeted muscle group over all five built-in Pressure Strips or lean into one of the strips to get a specific angle and pressure level you need. The 5 Strips include:

  • (1) Direct Pressure Strip – constant deep pressure on a trigger point
  • (2) Variable Pressure Strips – alternates pressure as you roll
  • (2) Lateral Pressure Strips – targets muscles from an angle

Four Zones of Compression

Tapering from a wide angle to a narrow angle across 4 compression zones allows the Eclipse Roller to squeeze and release the treated muscle group as you roll, creating a flushing effect. The Zones are:

  • Zone 1: 9.5” across
  • Zone 2: Tapers from 9.5” to 4.5”
  • Zone 3: 4.5” across
  • Zone 4: Outer end caps - function as a traditional firm foam rolling surface

Regular use of the Eclipse Roller can improve an athlete’s range of motion and muscle elasticity, while releasing knots, reducing muscle soreness, and speeding up recovery time.

Amazing Roller!
I saw this on instagram and the shape of this roller definitely intrigued me. After seeing so many great reviews, I thought I would give it a try. It was so much better than I could have expected. The bumps are firm and get deeply into my muscles. Its the first time I can feel a big difference after rolling! I use this for my arms and legs and the Acumobility Back Roller for my back and chest. These tools have been amazing at improving my recovery after lifts. Thanks for making such quality tools!

Great concept, but too large for me
I like the concept of "squeezing" but the roller is too large for me.

Great Modification To The Foam Roller
I saw this on Instagram and found a few reviews where people said they loved it and also saw the Acumobility Balls, too. Was going to buy from Acumobility, but Rogue offered 3 Free Shipping, and with those balls, that was 3 products and free shipping. Saved me $25, so I bought these items from Rogue Instead. Shipping was fast, too. Was really excited to get this as other products have come out similar to a foam roller where I didn't want to fork over the money and buy. I had been eyeing TP Therapies foam roller for awhile, but just didn't want to pay that much for the Grid System. However, seeing this strange Eclipse version, and seeing a few videos, I was willing to fork over the $69 (more than the TP Therapy roller) for this thing. Though I have not used this as much as the Acumobility Balls, I love how this thing isn't too long. It's about 1/2 the length of a regular length foam roller. It's a bit wider in diameter, though. Now, if you're a really large person, this roller may not work real great for you. It works fine for me, but I can see how it might not work for some people whose legs are a lot larger than mine and I have big legs. The reason why I say this is if you put your leg in the middle, if it's bigger than the opening, it might be hard to get the full effect of getting to the parts you want. The opening does taper down. Of course, if you come in at an angle, that might work. I am a women's size 14 and I tend to be a bit "thick", so if you're a women's above a size 18, this probably won't be a great product for you. I'm also guessing if you're above a men's XL, this foam roller might not be great for you unless you have really skinny legs. I have been able to use this roller on all parts of my legs, my obliques, my arms, my lats. I tried it on my back, but I didn't really like for my back and I found the Acumobility Balls combined with a regular foam roller to be better. I can see how you can use these on your traps, though, but I have not tried that yet. All in all, I think this a great tool that I have for myofascial release.

Like nothing else, wraps around body
Really wraps around the muscles. I like rolling my quad up and down the middle section, then leaning slightly side to side to get IT band / adductor at the same time. A crucial part of my warmup, I carry it to the gym using the yoga strap from my bag.

This roller is awesome. It does things no other roller can. This company also has great free education on how to use the products. Worth the money.

Good for isolating body parts
I like this roller a lot, but I really only use it for a couple spots - it's great for rolling out the forearms, but its especially wonderful for getting the soleus on the front of your calf - one of the most difficult spots to get extremely deep into I find. The big knob running down the center is great to just kneel on top of and let it dig it.

Extremely versatile
Bought this last yearly and I couldn't be happier. Although it does the same thing as a foam roller or pvc pipe for mobility, the Eclipse roller can also be used as a dumbbell, it has the perfect shape! Granted, it's light but by doing many many reps, one can build on strength, at home! Highly recommended.

Best roller around!
This roller is intense and gets into knots deeper than any roller I have used before. I feel an immediate difference in my muscles after using it, which is something I never experienced before, despite all of my years of foam rolling.
