Stainless Shaft / Cerakote Sleeve Barbells
This page features several different Rogue barbell variants, all united by the use of a stainless steel shaft and Cerakote sleeve finish. This is among the best combinations available in terms of look, feel, oxidation resistance, and low-maintenance upkeep.
With no plating, the knurl on a stainless shaft is left exactly how we machined it, providing a unique, natural feel similar to bare steel, but with far better corrosion resistance. Similarly, the ceramic-based Cerakote coating used for the sleeves on these bars is extremely durable even in thin applications, delivering 100x the abrasion/wear/corrosion resistance of standard black zinc.
Gym owners can find this Stainless Steel Shaft + Black Cerakote Sleeve combo in Limited Editions of three of our most popular bars, all of which are machined and assembled in Columbus, Ohio:
- Bella Bar: 15KG women’s bar features the same 200,000 PSI shaft, comp bushings, and dual knurl marks as the Ohio Bar.
- Rogue Ohio Bar: 20KG bar features a 200,000 PSI tensile strength shaft with black composite bushings and dual knurl marks. Optimized for both Olympic and Powerlifting.
- 45LB Ohio Power Bar: 29mm powerlifting bar; equipped with zero-flex 200,000 PSI shaft, bronze bushings, and single powerlifting knurl marks (+ center knurl) machined in an aggressive but non-abrasive knurl pattern.
Please Note: Rogue recommends using a synthetic bristle brush, NOT a steel brush, to clean a stainless steel shaft. Steel on steel can cause rusting over time. See more tips here: Bar Care & Maintenance.

*Warranty against bending does not cover any bar which has been damaged due to negligent or faulty use, alteration, maintenance, storage or handling by the user. Negligent or faulty use includes abusive dropping of the bar (i.e., dropping the bar on a box, bench, spotter arms or pins in a power rack, excessive dropping with insufficient or damaged bumpers, or excessive dropping with iron plates, and similar usage). Any specific issues regarding a Rogue product with which a customer is not satisfied will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We have found that most problems with bars we replace are related to abusive use rather than manufacturing or materials issues.
